GASLAMP DISTRICT | Have you been in the NEWEST FOOD PARK in Busay?

It has been a week since they opened and everyone seems to be talking about this new food park in Busay!

The **[Gaslamp District](https://web.facebook.com/gaslampdistrictbusay)** is yet to be one of the trendiest mountainside food parks in Busay, Cebu. Probably because of its unique metal dome and rustic interior. It's the perfect spot for bikers and cyclists to relax and dine. Not to mention, it's also a great place for dates and family eat-outs!

When going to and fro the hills of Busay, I've noticed their signages and always with the words "Coming Soon." Well, I didn't expect it to be this soon! Got me all excited because you can clearly see a large metal dome from the road when driving...

And, of course, we had to check it out for ourselves!!

We went there on a Saturday night, just around 7 PM, and it was packed with so many people! Families, friends, kids running around, fur parents strolling around with their pooch -- you name it!

The number of people there was quite overwhelming at first. Later on, as we went around the place, I was amazed as to how beautiful their interiors were!

One of the goals of this place is to offer cyclists a more comfortable and accessible place to stop, relax, and dine in Busay. To show their enthusiasm for cycling (and to show some support to the cyclists), the place has put these creative railing designs out of bicycle parts! Not bad!

I really loved how the warm lights complemented the place. It produced this fuzzy, relaxing ambience that really makes you want to just sit back, relax, and dine. PLUS! There was a live band when we got there, perfectly setting the right mood. 👌

## **How To Get There**
The Gaslamp District Busay is not far at all. In fact, it's just **11 minutes away** from JY Mall. But because a lot of people are visiting the place and there are a few road constructions along the way, you might be experiencing **some traffic**.

You can get to the Gaslamp District by motorcycle, taxi, or car. However, it could get pricey if you opt for a taxi. There's also a problem with going home when you're on a commute. Best to have them on standby or deal with one of the drivers to get you at a certain time.

**Distinct landmarks** before getting to the Gaslamp District are the **Chateau de Busay and Busay Highlands**. Once you pass these, then you're just a minute away from the place!

## **What To Eat**
Honestly, there are a lot of choices for you to choose from!

You can have your all-time faves like My Joy, Dimsum Break, or Casa Verde! On the left side of the park is a number of various dishes ranging from seafood to pizza to ramen. The food choices were more diverse than we expect, making it more difficult for us to choose. 😂

If you go there for a snack, they have Waffle Time, Potato Corner and some taco shop on the far right end of the park. I'm secretly looking forward to the TDG Cafe and their coffee. Imagine good coffee and a great view on a breezy afternoon!

Anyway, we ended up buying burgers and pizza from [Tet's Spizzal](https://web.facebook.com/Tets-Spizzal-101440345095140) which were soooo good! We had mini-burgers and thought it wasn't enough but boy was I wrong! The patty was so full and meaty that having one was already enough.

And we had this very delicious pizza which I really had a hard time finishing because I was already full with the burger!!

There are plenty of tables for you to choose from. I personally love this area which is near to the cliffs with a spectacular view! Too bad it was already full when we got there.

We got a seat right near the metal dome in the entrance. And here's our I'm-so-full-I-can't-breathe-but-I'm-going-to-smile-anyway selfie:

Overall, **the Gaslamp District is a great place for date nights and good food**. We really had a wonderful time and I'd love to come back more often and maybe try on a different time like in the mornings and in the afternoon. Definitely looking forward to the hillside overlooking view next time!
