La semana pasada recibí una llamada de mi tío Memo, el hermano de mi papá. Quiero mucho y me llevo muy bien con los hermanos de mi papá, pero se me hizo extraña su llamada, ya que, nunca me habla por teléfono. La duda del porque me marco, se me quito cuando me pregunto si aun tenía el bebé reborn que me compre hace muchos años, porque quería que se lo prestara a mi abuela. Mi abuela hace unos cuantos años, comenzó a tener demencia, según cuentas de mis papás, fue cuando se murió mi tata. Llegamos a la conclusión que después de la muerte de una hija y después de su pareja de toda la vida, lo más fácil era tener demencia para olvidar todo el dolor de esas dos perdidas. Tal cual se cumplió la frase que muchas madres dicen "si mi hijo se muere, me vuelvo loca".

Es muy triste que no te recuerde, siempre que voy a visitarla a la ciudad de México se me hace un nudo en la garganta cuando la veo acostada en la camilla sin poderse mover, si así me siento, no me imagino como se siente mi papá a ver a su mamá tan vulnerable, después de haber sido una mujer fuerte que estuvo involucrada en la resistencia de Pinochet en Chile. Lo que más extraño es entrar a su casa y que mi abuela pregunte ¿quién es esa negra?, toda la vida me han dicho negra, porque mis papás son muy blancos y mi abuela ni hablar, si la pones al lado de un litro de leche, desaparece. Me da miedo cuando sea vieja tener demencia, el deterioro de mi abuela ha sido terrible, tanto así que ya no habla.

Cuando llevamos a mí sobrina de 5 o 6 meses para que mi abuela la conociera, fue padrísimo, porque empezó a sonreír mientras le agarraba los deditos de los pies y después comenzó a cantarle, fue impactante porque llevaba años sin hablar. Por esta razón y porque cuando la enfermera la lleva a la calle a que respire aire fresco, siempre se queda viendo a los bebés y les sonríe, fue que mi tío me pidió el bebé reborn. Los bebés reborn, son muñecos que parecen bebés reales, son pintados a mano, entonces las artistas que los hacen, ponen cada detalle muy cuidadosamente, como el pelo, las uñas, el color de la piel, las siluetas, arrugas, pestañas, etc. La última vez que escuche cantar a mi abuela, fue en una comida en casa de mi tío Memo y estaba cantando el himno de Chile, de ahí es mi abuela y mi tata, De Santiago de Chile y toda su familia excepto sus hijos y ahora sus nietos, se quedaron allá. Ellos tuvieron que salir de un día a otro porque mi tata Pablo Nudelman, era brazo derecho de Salvador Allende ¿no es increíble?. Lo que me contó mi papá es que llevo un amigo de mi tata, toco en su puerta y le dijo "Don Pablo, es momento de que se vaya", mi tata de inmediato supo que iban por el para matarlo. En ese segundo, tomo sus cosas y se fue hacía Inglaterra, en donde vivió algunos años con mis tíos y mi papá. Es una historia muy linda que me gustaría escribir en otro post con las fotos de mis abuelos.

The last time I heard my grandmother sing, it was at a meal at my uncle Memo's house and he was singing the anthem of Chile, that's where my grandmother and my father are from, from Santiago de Chile and their whole family except their children and now His grandchildren stayed there. They had to leave from one day to the next because my father Pablo Nudelman was Salvador Allende's right-hand man, isn't that incredible? What my dad told me is that I brought a friend of my father's, he knocked on his door and told him "Don Pablo, it's time for you to leave", my father knew immediately that they were going to kill him. In that second, he took his things and went to England, where he spent some years with my uncles and my father. It is a very nice story, which I would like to write in another post with photos of my grandparents.

Fue realmente lindo y conmovedor ver estas fotos, me da gusto que a mi tío Memo se le haya ocurrido esta idea, porque mi abuela esta fascinada con su nuevo bebé. Me encanto la foto en donde lo tiene acostado encima de su panza y lo esta abrazando y protegiendo con las dos manos, como si fuera un bebé real. Al ver esta foto recordé lo que hace poco mi mamá me dijo "lo que me hace feliz, es ir a comer con ustedes (mi hermana y yo) los fines de semana, platicar, jugar juegos de mesa y comer rico". Todo esto salió porque mi hermana y yo le estábamos diciendo que no dejara de trabajar pero que le bajara a los pacientes, porque trabajaba de 9 de la mañana a 10 de la noche y nuestra recomendación fue que trabajara de 9 a 3 o a 5 y a esa hora se fuera a la casa a descansar y ver series o escribir artículos que es lo que le encanta y nos dijo que no, que más adelante si pero por ahora estaba bien, le gustaba su trabajo y más esperar el fin de semana para vernos. Después de eso, nos dijo que las cosas más simples en la vida eran las que más nos daban felicidad y tiene toda la razón.

After that, he told us that the simplest things in life were the ones that gave us the most happiness and he is absolutely right.

Si cosas las cosas simples de la vida no te dan felicidad, es difícil que seas feliz, porque las cosas no simples, si llegan a tu vida, pero en tiempos muy prologados. ¿ustedes que piensan?.
