Hi! I'm Tao Of Satoshi.

**Hello Steemit!** After participating a bit in the Steemitsphere I have decided that I will stay as a long term member. **Why?** Because I believe that #Steemit can help to get the average person into cryptocurrencies, and I believe that the world will be better off with the mass adoption of cryptos. So, as to not be rude, I will now introduce myself. I go by a few names, depending on my surroundings and topics. I will give you the short form here:

 - **Christopher Carruthers** This is my real name, and the name I use most often.
 - **Tao Of Satoshi** This is my alias for all things crypto, and the name I will use here on Steemit.
 - **Dash Dalmatian** This is my alias for all things Dash, which is my primary cryptocurrency of interest.

I am a 42 year old Canadian born in Halifax, Nova Scotia. My mom and Dad were both musicians, and I travelled a lot when I was young. I still retain that passion for travel to this day, and you will often see me on a plane, train or automobile going somewhere.

I am a casino worker as a Table Games Supervisor, which makes me a studier of the human condition and quite good at dealing with all sorts of different people on a day-to-day basis. I hope to be getting to know a lot of you over the years we will spend here as well.

I'm generally considered an easy-going and fun-loving guy, and you will usually see me with a smile on my face. I have a beautiful Guatemalan wife named Miriam, and had a very vivacious daughter with her named Caitlyn.

I love cryptocurrency and baseball. Dash and the Toronto Blue Jays are almost equal to me in importance.

I discovered #Bitcoin in 2013, during the big Thanksgiving pump, where I experienced the euphoria of an investment gone straight up, but then the disappointment of an investment gone straight down. I believe in the concept of cryptocurrencies, so I stuck around to check out and learn about the workings of #BTC and other cryptos, until I found my current favorite (besides #Steem of course)...

Dash really fascinated me. I loved the community, the cutting edge technology, and the demeanor of the lead developer, Evan Duffield. After some research, I proceeded to heavily invest in #Dash. One thing I noticed that Dash needed to improve on was their social media presence. So, I started a Twitter account and promoted Dash there every single day for the last two years. You can visit it at https://twitter.com/taoofsatoshi. I have amassed quite a following there, and it makes me proud to be bringing cryptocurrency to so many new people on a daily basis.
