The end point of a rocky ride.*

*All the time we had ever spent
Every moment we never kept
Many times we could have slept
But chose faith and in we leapt.*

*Word forward mightier than sword
For a little less and more reward 
Opting in what we could afford
No parachute yet pulled the cord.*

*Possibility slim and just a sliver
Unlikely to be or ever deliver
But at the chance a quiet shiver
Quickening flow and widening river.* 

*Floating by past the many moons
The dying of the passing tunes
Of society and its drifting dunes

Very nice poetry. I see the crypto influence in it, and not sure about the ending toxic fumes, but I see when reading that section, all the fires burning along the entire west coast of America, and all the fires in Europe, and it feeds that part of my psyche that see fire as a cleanser of the Earth and of Societies. No doubt because of the stories of Nero and then the change of society associated with the burning of Rome.

There is hope and there is fear, difficult to combine in a piece of poetry, (at least for me).

How I see it is that one day, the systems that are will be razed and replaced by something better. Those who control the system now think that it is impossible to replace it. Fire doers cleanse and there are rare species of plants that can't grow unless the seed pods burn.

Ha yes, here we see @tarazkp with a good poem about life.
"The end point of a rocky ride" and "the last wisp of the toxic fumes" speaks to me.

I am 4 years away from the start of the winter season (70) in my life and don't even know if I will get that far, but I have always had two things going for me. Hope and non surrender.
So, I will go out as I came in, fighting for myself and more especially for others.
Such is life as they say!

Out of curiosity, does getting to the Autumn scare you knowing winter is next?

My father (an artist) always believed he would make his mark in the winter of his life and while that didn't eventuate (at least the way he had imagined it), I wonder how his belief sustained him as he got older. He passed away a few months ago having lived a good life and I think that part of the good was always having something to look forward to, even if it was his curiosity in what was to come.

I really don't worry about getting older. My mother would often say: *Danny, you were born a 40-year old man!* As I will turn 60 years old next June to me that will be the beginning of the Autumn of my life.
<br>

Your father, I would say, *made his mark long before the winter of his life*. He has a son that fondly looks on him as having lived a good life. I believe our legacy is our influence and its effects on others. 
<br>

You are part of his legacy and I am sure one of the many **marks** he made during his life-time.
