*Knuckles pulled white from strain
Pain nothing to what it could be
A smile on face but all is in feign
Nothing to show for the energy*

*Intentions were grand but flawed
The effort of hand was immense
As charging bull on ground pawed
And so many sat upon the fence*

*Uncommitted to a cause for other
Leaning and swaying with breeze
Sister crying at the loss of brother
Dust returned from root into trees*

*Muscles flexed to prove the point
That others can grow hardy and fast
To take the crown away to annoint
New Kings and Queens built to last*

*To have it all is to release all fears
To drop over the edge and into ravine
To hold on to nothing through years
To survive life alive is yet to be seen.*
