Firstly, it looks like SBD is printing again and at the moment it sits at 43% print rate. This is because Steem price has increased to drop the STEEM/SBD debt ratio below 10% and if it drops below 9, it should be printing again at 100% SBD again, which should effectively lower the inflation rate as less Steem is printed.

Finally. 

How long it will stay there is anyone's guess but it would be fantastic if we actually had a native stable coin token on Steem that actually held its peg.

I have answered this in many ways from my own perspective but like I said in my post yesterday about Steem being a [choose-your-own-adventure,] it is up to each individual in which paths they take and decisions lead to outcomes as well as experiences that can be positive or negative. It is a journey.

There is no right or wrong way to Steem per se, but like I answered to @oldtimer:

Doing something doesn't make one good at it and on Steem just like every other place on earth, actions have consequences, some deliberate, some unintended. When it comes to the dynamics within a community there are always going to be conflicts of various kinds as people have not only chosen different paths, they also have already walked different paths, have different abilities, different demeanors and personalities, different experiences, different life philosophies, different opportunities, different work ethics... you know --- people are different. 

What works for one doesn't necessarily work for another and if there are too many doing the same, even the better might not be able to compete with the best. Some might look at this from a stake perspective only as *stake is influence* on Steem, being a Proof of Stake blockchain, but stake isn't the only influencer. Steem is a socially charged experience and relationship development alters outcomes and those relationships develop and degrade over time. The ones that endure past stake are those that are built on friendship and trust. 

Out of your friends on Steem, how many would you feel comfortable hosting in your home and, do they feel the same about hosting you? Wouldn't that be a decent indication of friendship? I am not saying that it has to actually happen , but think that I have more than a few handfuls where that would be the case on Steem. Relationships take time and investment to build, and effort to nurture, which is why they are valuable and in a lifetime, we actually do not have so many *very good friends,* and even fewer that endure through the majority of tour lives. 

Maintaining connections is difficult and in the world of digital social media, connections are highly transitory in nature and tend to be based more on what one benefits can be delivered now, not based on who the person is as a person. Many social media relationships are highly disposable as there is very little energy put into their creation or maintenance. 

In conjunction with this, a lot of the content is disposable also, even the ones that are considered personal as they are individual posts to be consumed in the here and now without adding to the narrative of the creator as a person, a life story. While someone on Instagram can post a thousand selfies or what they eat for lunch, they actually tell nothing of the person and therefore do not add weight to building a relationship, at least not one that is lasting. 

What you will likely find on Steem is that the most supported people who aren't part of some circle vote trading ring, are those who have a relatable human behind the account, someone with a life that they share with the community, someone who has ups and downs and life challenges, just like everyone else. It is not that every post of theirs is personal, it is just that there is enough given that a connection can be made. And, what people see is authentic or in the case of some, appears authentic. 

For me, I can have my opinion on how to Steem and what I personally do on my account might not be right for everyone. because, doing what I do because I do it doesn't make it authentic for you.

This doesn't mean you have to dwell in your life even though I do believe that that saying I use often is about responsibility for ones own position. What it also means is that you are your own person and it is up to you to discover your way through life, not follow some guru who you hold as some kind of authority. Don't get me wrong, you can listen to advice and try to see if it fits for you, but at the end of the day, it is up to you to use your resources the best you can and, you may have more or less than others. 

I am not special, I am not very intelligent, I am not rich, I am not tall or pretty and I am not gifted with a host of skills that make me particularly suited to being successful at anything. I am not even much of a writer in my opinion, but I do try to use what I have as well as I can and I have a strong work ethic and a resilient disposition - likely developed from my own life experiences. It really isn't how much you have, it is how you use it and for many, they have a lot but waste what another could do a lot with. 

Unfortunately, we aren't very good as a society of resource allocation to those who need it, let alone to those who can use it very well, with people in individual cities dying of starvation while others are dying of over-consumption, not to mention the disparity globally. Steem Power is a Steem resource and I think that while some people use theirs well, others do not, with "well" adding value and "not" adding cost. If we want a higher value experience, we need to generate more than we cost.

So, to cut a long story shorter, while I can have my opinion on what is knowing how to Steem well, it is up to each of us to live our own lives and make a decision on what actions we take. But, for every action there are reactions and knock-on effects so we also have to accept responsibility for our outcomes.
