<div class="text-justify"> My calves hurt. Yesterday, I did 18000 steps and I didn't really leave the inside of the house, with a lot of it going up and down stairs. In fact, 16% of all the steps were climbing. We were meant to do this last weekend but a few challenges forced us to push it back, which set a bit of a deadline as today we having a few couples and kids we haven't seen for ages coming over for coffee. They know we are in the midst of a renovation of course. We do have quite a few things left to do upstairs and there are bags of stuff to put away, but it is starting to take shape and we were able to sleep there last night. It is funny how different the sounds are in comparison to the lower floor and to add a little more different, the snow on the roof decided to slide off in pieces during the early hours, waking Smallsteps up. She came to our bed, as she was a little scared. We haven't bought anything new, other than the rug and the papasan chair in the loungeroom, the rest we have had for ages and some of it, is getting onto 15 years old, like the TV. Most people replace stuff quickly these days, I don't really see the point of upgrading for looks. I think that because this is an old house, the eclectic look of random pieces kinds of works anyway.  And then my daughter's room - which is large by pretty much anyone's standards and I am glad that we opened up the attic to give more space. We still have to get a few things, but she loves it and when my wife put her to bed she said "Thank you for making me such a beautiful room". It was a surprise for her too, as she was at her friend's birthday party, her first party invite ever. She had a great time from all reports, which means we can hopefully start having her visit friends more often. The challenge is of course Corona, as even though we don't care much, some people do. Though, Finland has been pretty well safe the entire time. When she came home, I made her close her eyes and her eyes lit up wide when she opened them. She has been a trooper through all of the renovation and complications of work life for us, so I am glad that she has a space that is truly hers. There are a couple boys a little older than her coming here today - let's see how the not-quite-dry floor holds up.  And, this is where very little of consequence happens - the master bedroom. While still filled with full bags, the door leads to the last remaining bit of attic, which we turned into a walk-in wardrobe. It is quite a handy little room, though we still have to put a small electric battery in there to heat it, which is one of the many jobs still needing to be done.  Finally, there has been no renovation to the dining room yet, but this will be the first time it ha been used to eat in other than when my wife and I ate pizza on the floor the first night we were cleaning. This area as well as the downstairs loungeroom, office and second toilet will start getting their facelift as soon as we can get people in, and a little money together. Other than the toilet, it is mostly surface work with a little bit of carpentry, so we are hoping we can get it done pretty fast so that we are ready for the spring and we don't have to do much of this kind of work in the summer - though I suspect that is wishful thinking.  Now, since we are only about 30 minutes away from the guests arriving and I still need to have a shower as I am sweaty as, as well as get Smallsteps dressed, I will cut it off here and come back later. For the next few hours at least, I will get to have a weekend with friends, which will be a a nice break considering I again am yet to leave the house and still have almost 11,000 steps under my belt. The rings have been planned for almost two years, but we haven't had a chance to do anything until recently. Installed them a couple weeks back so that she could play - the rest of the room was done yesterday though and I think she was surprised at how it turned out. She had a lot of fun playing in there with the two boys tonight, while the adults were eating. It is fine for now, but there will be a boy ban in the future :D

Beatiful and isn't it great to see your designs materializing? Always so great when a job is well done after hours of slogging and it's always an inspiration to continue. Over time you will find many more issues that you want to improve and one day you will look upon it all and think "Well done and I did it all by myself" , excluding the external labour of course. Oh yeah, a part of our nature is that we are never completely satisfied. Not everyone is like that and I cannot stand it when someone does a bad job and just leaves it like that. Inherited from my mom, as she was intensely OCD. In 20 years time you will be a seasoned pro in the trades and in between you will create many more masterpieces. Maybe in the future you can offer your services at top rates as an interior home designer Nothing beats that feeling of achievement my friend.

You did a great job with everything :D. Smallsteps' room is really beautiful and huge and I really like the gymnastic rings π. And so many wardrobes, so many things fit in there :)) I think a walk-in wardrobe is great too. It's all done, only the skirting board in the dining room isn't finished yet.
