I understand your message completely. Too many people here are not here for the Long Haul. They're not looking for the future of steemit. They're simply looking for the fast buck. Once things dip, they're gone. We need people who invest time. Not just money. The people who invest only money are able to just take their money and run. They have no emotional investment. We need emotional investment

For my steemit it is a blessing, it has come at the best moment in our lives, taking into account that in my country Venezuela,  the issue of cryptocurrencies was not handled in previous years, but until now due to the economic situation of the country, this issue has Highly highlighted because it has been the departure for many who earn us a minimum wage that does not even buy a kilo of cheese. The important and outstanding thing is that we take care of the platform and help by providing good content for the platform to maintain or grow. If we depend on it then we must take care of it.

Maybe my humble opinion is very simple, ten years ago I wrote in my personal blog about education, where sometimes someone commented. Today I write here and I have some regular readers as well as I read them.

 The change has been good for me. Although I have received few benefits, I have been able to learn and have helped me grow as a person in a situation that is extremely difficult here, at least I can spend hours reading and commenting and I forget the crisis that my country is experiencing.

I agree that some of the decisions made in the past were most likely not made in the best interests of Steemit,but for certain individuals. It is time to aggressively sort this place out and move out of Beta eventually. You can't spend years fiddling around going nowhere as something will happen elsewhere and people will move on. Hope headache isn't too bad after treatment.

We are a new bunch. People in this space I mean - the cryptosphere. I too sometimes get this feeling that this is all a big experiment. Which truthfully it is. Boundaries are bound to get tested, egos will clash, devs will have to act business leaders ........

In the end it comes down to the fact that whether people are willing to take the risk of get aboard this ship, which by very definition is in beta. I think once the mind is made up the experiment becomes an adventure and even the tantrums sometimes become entertaining :-)

Very interesting questions because Steemit has change the live of many people. I would have liked to be here from the beginning, at the right time hahaha, my life would be very different I guess. And yes, some of those changes and decisions from the development team are taking so much time. I think they are focus on the SMT launch right now

I am a newbie to Steemit, but I completely agree with your post. It can be enticing to take the "easy way" and use automated services to build the artificial connection. I have yet to post any content, but will be uploading some videos to dtube and posting some of my writing very soon. 

I look forward to seeing the transition of my account go from the current 10 fake user followers to actually building an authentic following!

The easy ride mentality that it should just come to me has turned many things into a giant mess hasn't it. What's happening mate, you okay?

From what I understand, steemit has become a local competition to see who manages to earn more, instead of promoting ideas that improve the community and thus be more profitable for those who work more dedicated to this platform ... Please correct me if I did not understand your message
