*It has been a pretty eventful day in the news...*

> But that can wait.

Firstly, the third (and since the weather sucks) likely the last leg of our trip has started, after leaving my friend's family and driving for another couple hours to a spa center. As I have explained before, these "spa centers" aren't like in the movies with facemasks and cucumbers on the eyes, rather a small collection of pools with a hotel attached that people who don't have the money to go overseas on holiday go to and pretend it is glorious.

> We played glow in the dark mini-golf. 

It was nine-hole, and since there was no one else there, we went around twice. It was fun, even if not very exciting. We went and ate at some pasta place later in the city (town) because the restaurants in the complex didn't seem to have anything to fit for the night. We will try tomorrow night again perhaps. 

> Then to swim.

The pools are fine here, but nearly all of them are too cold. Manageable for Smallsteps and I,  but my wife thinks it is similar to swimming in the Antarctic. All of the kids were jammed into the one warm pool, and the large ones were pretty empty. But, we aren't going to let that stop us having a good time!

> Make the most of it, right?

These issues are far from terrible and I seem to be in a pretty good mood lately, so they aren't bothering me *at all.* Perhaps the holiday is making less of a grumpy old man?

> Unlikely!

But, I do think that I do better when I am out of the house for a bit and don't have to worry as much about all the things that are waiting for me when I get back. The holiday mood means that I can be a bit forgetful of responsibilities and just focus on the moment. Of course, some people think that this is the way it should always be, but I think that is unsustainable. 

Yesterday, I was talking to my friend who is doing very well financially in his career, is living large, debt-free and *still entering the lottery.* While he will be able to retire early already, he calls it his "right to dream" entry, where he puts one line (1€ worth) in every week. 

> Does winning mean no responsibilities? 

Pretty sure no, but it wouldn't be bad to have that dream entry come in, right?
