Politicians unfortunately are not held to any standard at all in America by the American people. They keep voting the same people in year after year.

No one will admit to party line voting, no one votes for the best person because in most cases it is the devil you know verse the one you don't.

To the best of my knowledge there is not one non-hypocritical politician in the Senate or House of Representatives. They have and always will vote one way then the next just to say they voted for or voted against a bill. 

I am sure the rest of the world will more than willingly take all the funds being sent to them as our American politicians try to buy their country and people off so they can spread their poison further afield.

I remember the idea of democracy being as good as the dumbest citizen in a country. And living in a country that has never experienced some thing nearly similar to democracy I can tell that the political game is rigged no matter who has the power. Again I keep going back to my first comment in one of your posts, adding now that politics is another Frankenstein's monster that we can even try to control. 

So, basically they are throwing some pennies in people's pockets trying to make it look like they are helping and actually stabbing them in the way out. Ha, and I thought the relief things the government gives monthly in this country were a bad thing. 

I guess we built a self-sufficient machine that feeds on humanity to keep running. I wonder what will get wasted first, the machine or us. My money is on the latter. But then again, as we continue to venture into the unknown reaches of the future and people keep their sight to themselves, we will see the government pulling up more shenanigans and the general populous not realizing what is happening until it becomes the new normal.

It's an incredible fluster cluck, start to finish.  They get it all crafted and negotiated and ready to go and the President refuses to sign it because the give away isn't big enough.  

Congress wants to keep everybody from bitching and moaning about all the pork that they pushed through on the deal and the President would like to buy a few more folks to back up his 'stole the election' claim.  It's just straight brutal.  

I don't think it is exactly legal to have a appropriations bill passed without the paper bill before it.  I'm sure they legislated a 'one time exemption'.

I saw a post on a different outlet where they broke down some of the terms in the bill.  Words like missile and ammunition were mentioned hundreds of times in the bill while the word Covid and Nurse were mentioned less than five times.  It was pretty sickening to see read about what they have done.  I plan on using my whopping $600 to try and pay down what little debt we have left or maybe invest some in crypto.

People need the scraps they are throwing us from their ivory towers. It's easy to be fooled when they can just print money. But as long as we remain the world's reserve currency we can print our way out of trouble. That won't last forever though.

I did not find communism, and the implementation of the very idea of a commune was rather an anti-advertisement of this form of state organization. But when I read such manifestations of democracy, I begin to think what it would be like under a monarchical or communist order of the world ...

Not all Americans are celebrating. Two keep reminding people around here how many nations have been paid and continue being paid a percentage of their wage since day 1 of Covid. Americans saw companies like American Airlines *(who also own British)* and Disney pad their stock.

I think most Americans are thinking the same thing most *everyone* is thinking. Regardless the colors or geographic location—corrupt and outta control. The fact we're all thinking about it at the same time is exciting.

It's super expensive here, we're anxiously awaiting these gates to reopen so we can live again. But that doesn't mean it's terrible here—plenty of places are worse. Let me show you around a minute, you'll never forget it. Those runnin this joint, like most running the joints I've visited, they're a mess. The people, however, not so messy.
