The patio looks really good! We looked at a big umbrella like that at one point too. Given the size, you definitely got an awesome deal on it. We don't really fraternize with our neighbors like that. The ones on one side are quite old, the ones on the other are quite young and a bit annoying, though they seem to make friends with everyone. The ones across the street... I'm sure the problem is us. We just aren't very social.

That looks like a decent entertainment area for the long summer months lol. I like wood and that looks to be have been built well. Stupid question your neighbor speaks to you in Finnish or in English and are you fluent now or still learning. I know most countries most people have two languages with English being one of them so it is not always necessary, but obviously it dos help knowing the local language.

Personal realization is very important in noticing yourself, this makes you to know how you've been leaving your life, either good or bad. It's not about being young sometimes, it's about realizing on time and doing self talk most time, doing this will make you to know, realize, and adjust yourself on time, either you been giving your attention to unnecessary things that is not valuable to your life. Self realization makes you know this on time. Thanks for sharing this it's really go along way. 

You made a wonderful place for communication. And you talked there with your neighbor in a pleasant atmosphere. One of those evenings when you realize in a moment how pleasantly life flows.

Such conversations are actually interesting and appeal to me as well. Not that it's a good or bad thing, but most people around my age are more focused on "how to earn more money", "how to advance their careers", and not so much about the bigger meaning of life stuff.

To align yourself with doing things that matter for what you value is pretty hard, at least for me. Too much stuff in our daily life that we do is actually not important too many distractions that it is easy to get lost in the maze of stuff that needs to be done and is "on the list" but that actually don't matter much.

Also some of the things I enjoy doing do not add anything to the things I value, and others that are kind of outside of my area of expertise and are harder to do are what is needed to bring improvement to the things I actually value.

Just sitting, talking about life with someone, can feel more meaningful than chasing half the things we think are important. In this world where everything revolves around attention economy, we spend most of our time on things that don't really matter. Many people move through life in pleasing others, only to later  question what actually matters. We need to rethink whether our actions match what we claim to care about. 

Acting according to others' expectations can lead to depression. The person may not even realize it. I'm a sensitive person. I usually prefer to find a middle ground. Sometimes I act entirely based on the other person's expectations. But the common denominator is my preference. I expect the same from the other person. I never accept selfishness.

I’ve been thinking a lot lately about how much time I spend worrying about things that, in the bigger picture, don’t really matter. Like you said, I think  aligning our actions with our values matters most in life. Recently, i realise that is it better one lives their life to the fullest without really pleasing anybody or dwell ob what people would say on any decision taken in life. 

Like you, I’m starting to realize that it doesn’t take much to feel content. Peace of mind, meaningful relationships, and doing work that feels useful; that’s it for me too. It’s comforting to read someone else going through the same kind of reflection. 

Good one - these days I am more aligned towards people I often forgot or did not appreciate enough in my thinking as of my dull work focus.

Also changes a bit on my re-thinking of the important values I though i follow - not always to be honest I have to admit

It's a fact that we frequently get caught up in commitments that don't really reflect who we are, and it often takes moments like this to reconnect with what we truly care about.
