There is a lot going on these days.  For that reason, it is easy for things to get overlooked and missed.

With some of the announcements today, it is easy to miss the fact that @actifit had a couple of major announcements.

The first was the Android application was updated to offer a host of new features.  This includes making the look more pleasing.  With newer charts added and an expanded leader board, the application is catering itself to its most active users.

The application also now provides for the option of posting one's steps a day later.  With the previous version, if one forgot to post at the end of day, those steps were gone.  Now, there is another 24 hour window to get them up there.

This does not negate the upvote from the @actifit account.  The same rewards still apply regardless of which day they were posted.

I know there is another big announcement in the works that will come out in the next week or two.  This is going to be rather exciting for those holding AFIT tokens.  It will also help STEEM.  So stay tuned for that.

There was another post put out by @anomadsoul announcing a contest.  Actifit is celebrating its one year anniversary on Steem.  For this reason, it teamed up with @blocktrades to offer a free ticket to Steemfest which is being held in Bangkok I believe.  

The contest couples being active (the goal of the Actifit application) along with marketing on social media.  By partaking on the weekends, one is entered into the drawing for the ticket to Steemfest.  Having never been there myself, I can only go based upon what others say.  It certainly is something that everyone who attended raves about.

For the contest, there are 32 possible entries that can be earned.  For the next 16 weeks, one has to get 15,000 steps in one of the two weekend days.  Doing so earns one an entry into the drawing.  By posting the results on social media, a second entry is earned.  A maximum of 32 can be garnered over the 16 weeks.

Over the last couple weeks, we see a lot of collaboration taking place between different applications.  A lot of this is on the technical end of things.  Here we have an example of two projects, Actifit and Blocktrades ,getting together to put something in place for the community.  A contest like this is an added bonus for those already putting in the effort on the application.  Hopefully, it will motivate a few more people to get involved.

Things are really starting to come together.

It is fun to see.
