We are seeing a radical shift to the digital world.  The work from home era is just getting started.  Along with that, we are rapidly progressing towards the virtual world.

This means that our present entities are going to come under a great deal of attack.  As our network activity takes upon a larger role in our lives, the physical/geographic arena will mean less.

In this video I discuss how everything is going to follow computational power.  That is being distributed by the fact more of it is available in smaller devices.  As this evolves, we will find the power structures around us being changed.  This is not something that most entities are built to handle.  They are centralized for a reason: to maintain the power and control they amassed.

Not sure lease is the proper term but, as far as I know, that is still the plan.  We will be able to provide space for their decentralized video (and image) storage network.

Decentralisation can go a long way to reducing the power of governments, but at the end of the day we are physical beings and under threat from physical violence. 
Nothing in the virtual world can protect you or your family from a hostile army, a terrorist or a violent criminal.

While the behaviour of most nation states in creating CoronaTyranny makes one want to do away with them altogether, this current distopia has actually revealed the problems of a too-connected world where mass psychosis has gone global and the few nations that tried to resist it (ie Sweden) have been bullied.

Freedom of choice means that it is important that we have different nation states with different approaches to dealing with issues.

The mass psychosis is real. however that same interconnectedness allows those of us who are paying attention to see what the entrenched powers do to those who try to stand up to them, which is to say to see that those entrenched powers exist at all.  Definitely a double edged sword.  It's interesting how the game has changed from hiding things from the people to flooding us with so much different fake news that the truth is hidden in the haystack of bullshit.

On the idea of freedom of choice of different nation-states, it may be possible to move from one to another, but it is not easy, involves a gross violation of privacy, and is generally only possible for people with money.  it would take a lot more than going back to "normal" to change that.  

(not trying to be a contrary mary, just looking for that "golden solution" you know?)  Ultimately I think it lies with human evolution.  We just have to grow up as a species.  otherwise we will continue on as slaves to our own shittiness.

It definitely looks like those who can't adapt will lose out. The big tech corporations know this and I wonder who will be the first to tokenize. Will the CDBC come out first or will banks make their own stablecoins? How will the control be split across the web now that everything is going digital. We are now connected to the entire world and international relations matter more to politics.

There is but it is never easy to tell people to give up power. All the banks over the world are working together to maintain their control. I personally think it would be chaos if currencies were wiped out before mass adoption thus I think the move to a CDBC or banks releasing stable coins are required to lessen the panic.

I agree with the nation state becoming obsolete over the next few decades. 

What I definitely wouldn't like to see is a consolidation of power into the hands of powerful supernational and global organizations. Instead, I'd like to see flexible and situational models of governance.

That is true, we dont want to go from one controlling entity, governments, to another.  This is going to be a shift we have to be mindful about.  At present, the mega tech companies are going to be coming in looking to fill that role.  They are no more appealing than governments.
