Why Most People Do Not Get Web 3.0
[Humans](https://inleo.io/@leoglossary/leoglossary-human), on average, do not adjust to change very well.

There are many theories as to why this is the case. Some believe that it is part of our [biology](https://inleo.io/@leoglossary/leoglossary-biology). For most of our [history](https://inleo.io/@leoglossary/leoglossary-history), change was slow. [Families](https://inleo.io/@leoglossary/leoglossary-family) lived on the same piece of land without much innovation for [centuries](https://inleo.io/@leoglossary/leoglossary-century). There are period where significant advancement took place but, even then, it was over an expected period.

For example, the move from hunter and gather to [agriculture](https://inleo.io/@leoglossary/leoglossary-agriculture) was huge. That was not an overnight process. It too centuries for the shift to be made.

This was repeated with the move from an agriculture based [economy](https://inleo.io/@leoglossary/leoglossary-economy) to one spurred on by the Industrial Revolution. The key difference is that we were not looking at centuries. This [time](https://inleo.io/@leoglossary/leoglossary-time), we can mark the chance in decades.

Enter in new [technologies](https://inleo.io/@leoglossary/leoglossary-technology) such as the [Internet](https://inleo.io/@leoglossary/leoglossary-internet) and [mobile](https://inleo.io/@leoglossary/leoglossary-mobile) phone. Each of these had significant impact upon our [world](https://inleo.io/@leoglossary/leoglossary-world). Both of these reached mass adoption, at least within the developed world, in a decade or less.

The final piece of evidence will require a bit of projection.

If we use November 2022 as the start point, generative [AI](https://inleo.io/@leoglossary/leoglossary-artificial-intelligence) will have consequential impact within half a decade.

Our morale here is the timeframes are contracting.

# Why Web 3.0 Is Hard To Comprehend

It appears the masses are having a tough time comprehending the concept of [Web 3.0](https://inleo.io/@leoglossary/leoglossary-web-3-0).

Looking at the acceleration of change, this is natural. With this, we are not looking at a particular product. Rather, this is a complete reinvention how the [digital](https://inleo.io/@leoglossary/leoglossary-digital) world is structured.

This does not mean, however, that everything will be on [blockchain](https://inleo.io/@leoglossary/blockchain). What it does say is we will see these technologies interwoven throughout our entire [lives](https://inleo.io/@leoglossary/leoglossary-life).

Consider, for a moment, how we are affected by [servers](https://inleo.io/@leoglossary/leoglossary-server-computer). This is a fundamental device in the world of networked computing. How many times a [day](https://inleo.io/@leoglossary/leoglossary-day) do you interact with a server? It is a question that cannot be answered. Even if we aren't "online", we are. Our phones, cars, [television](https://inleo.io/@leoglossary/leoglossary-television), and even doorbells are all connected. This is only compounded each time we do anything such as sending a text. Where do you think that ends up?

We also have a bias towards large entities.

Each time a major entity fails, people are surprised. This is true even if the proverbial writing was on the wall. The fall of Sears in the United States is an example. It is a [company](https://inleo.io/@leoglossary/leoglossary-company-business) that is on life support, something that took place more than a decade ago. When it does finally go under, people will be amazed at the fall.

The too big to fail was hammered into us. Unfortunately, this is not based upon technological progress. When I write about the decline, and eventual, fall of [Hollywood](https://inleo.io/@leoglossary/leoglossary-hollywood-film-industry), some dispute this viewpoint. It is something they cannot comprehend. Yet, as time passes, we are seeing a shift that is not aligning with the traditional [film](https://inleo.io/@leoglossary/leoglossary-movie-film) and television studios.

At this point, much of the holdup is generational.

I often dive into how Web 3.0 will have an impact upon this industry also. So far, most of the destruction is occurring without Web 3.0 having an impact. What happens when that really starts to penetrate the psyche of people?

The essence of this discussion is the magnitude of what we are focusing upon.

## No Overnight Success

There is a flip side to this equation.

So far, this [article](https://inleo.io/@leoglossary/leoglossary-article) focused upon the rapid pace of change. We have the equally as viable issue that things are slow to develop.

Here is where hype, [bubbles](https://inleo.io/@leoglossary/leoglossary-bubble), and expectations enter.

It is possible for people to get ahead of where the technology stands. This leads to a discounting of the future impact simply because some might see it talked about, but it is not happening in real time.

Switching to a digital world where [networks](https://inleo.io/@leoglossary/leoglossary-network) are abundant, is an example.

The present Internet is one that is siloed. Each day, a handful of network gobble up most of the traffic. These are some of the best known companies. [Amazon](https://inleo.io/@leoglossary/leoglossary-amazon-company), [PayPal](https://inleo.io/@leoglossary/leoglossary-paypal), Meta, [Google](https://inleo.io/@leoglossary/leoglossary-google-company), X, and [Spotify](https://inleo.io/@leoglossary/leoglossary-spotify) are examples.

Web 3.0 is world of abundant networks. One of the advantages to blockchain is the network can be duplicated many times over. This is true for the [database](https://inleo.io/@leoglossary/leoglossary-database), as long as we are dealing with something [permissionless](https://inleo.io/@leoglossary/leoglossary-permissionless-blockchain).

That is something completely new. It is also, to the average person, as relevant as a foreign galaxy. Most do not care about this.

Here is the disconnect. Since it is not something to excite the masses, they ignore it. However, each day, this is only growing in size. More is showing up whether it is compute, [data](https://inleo.io/@leoglossary/leoglossary-data), or [transactions](https://inleo.io/@leoglossary/leoglossary-transaction). New networks are forming, We also have [applications](https://inleo.io/@leoglossary/leoglossary-application) being build on top, only feeding further into this.

For many, the Internet was just there.

In the developed world, one has to be over 40 to truly remember the pre-Internet days. That means we did not see all that went into the development of this revolutionary technology.

This is not the case for Web 3.0.

We are all living through the foundation that is being put in place. [Building](https://inleo.io/@leoglossary/leoglossary-building-structure) networks is exciting to some but nothing that garners are great deal of attention. It also does not spur the masses to jump on board.

Word like [software](https://inleo.io/@leoglossary/leoglossary-software) architecture, [clients](https://inleo.io/@leoglossary/leoglossary-clients), servers, and interoperability will put the majority to sleep. This is the basis for the transformation.

## Technological Progression

The reality is that permission from the masses is not required for Web 3.0 to engulf their lives.

It is going to be a transition that occurs without the knowledge of most. There will be a day where they are simply on Web 3.0, at least to some degree. We will never see a world where all databases are on blockchain. However, we are going to see [tokenization](https://inleo.io/@leoglossary/leoglossary-tokenization) embedded in many things.

As they say, we will know Web 3.0 arrived when we stop talking about Web 3.0.

This is how technology progress.

Did the masses rise up claiming they wanted [streaming](https://inleo.io/@leoglossary/leoglossary-stream-service) and the end of having to drive to the [video](https://inleo.io/@leoglossary/leoglossary-video) store? Not in the least.

Hell, another old saying is asking people in the [horse](https://inleo.io/@leoglossary/leoglossary-horse-animal) adndbuggy days what they wanted, the answer would be "faster horses".

It is a [story](https://inleo.io/@leoglossary/leoglossary-story) repeated throughout the last 150 [years](https://inleo.io/@leoglossary/leoglossary-year). Technology starts slow and then runs over all that is in its way.

Marc Andreeson is known for his proclamation that "software is eating the world". When he made that statement, it was hard to see. In fact, some took exception to it years later, asserting that he was wrong.

As we progress through the 2020s, with the introduction of generative AI, we are starting to see that, perhaps, this is the case.

[Web 2.0](https://inleo.io/@leoglossary/leoglossary-web-2-0) was an evolution of the Internet. It happened over a period of years. In the same manner, Web 3.0 is just another phase.

The key difference is that the Internet is something much bigger than it was in the past. If we factor in things such as robots, we can see how much this is going to penetrate.

Overall, it is happening without the masses even noticing.

Web 3 will get adopted when people don't know they're using web3. It's just in the backend.

People will circle a Walmart parking lot for 15 minutes searching for the spot closest to the door.

People fear adopting a new technology and it's quite natural and in the case of web 3.0, it's also happening. Nothing to surprise. It's just a matter of time people will adopt web 3.0.

I like the closing statement, usually that's what always happens no one notices it until it's out there, I believe that's the normal way as it have been the trend of human for years.

Addressing my opinion on the other fronts you talked about; indeed web 3,0 is spectacular and will bring great deal to the world, especially the tokenization aspect will help support the Job market.

Your opening mark is quite correct, although I'm afraid am part of them to an extent nevertheless not everyone can read signs for a Big company downfall, if everyone could the stock market would have made everyone rich, it's all about; "How well do you know your History, and how can you relate to the now to see the possible future", that's a rare skill and it takes dedication to build. Honestly speaking I want the humanoid to get ready as quickly as possible there aid we change household work for real and give us more time to focus on stuffs like these.

@lasseehlers ·
I think you are right, I enjoyed reading your post.

I was one to have a big blind spot, when I saw Bitcoin in April 2013, I got my first 20 Bicoins at 50 dollars each and I expected Bitcoin to be adopted very fast and change the world in years. The reality is that it happened much slower than I expected, so I was wrong in my predictions.

Today I conducted another strategy, I just ignore the masses and their slowness or "stupidity" of not getting blockchain and I write about it every day on LasseCash and invest in what I believe are the best products, right now Titan X.

Meanwhile the masses are far behind.

Anyway I think you are right, when Blockchain is finally adopted, people didnt even notice that it happened.

> Today I conducted another strategy, I just ignore the masses

But paying attention to the shill influencers on YouTube as you do now isn't much better as a strategy. That's how you got rekt by that scammer Richard Heart and his HEX shitcoin, now down over 98% from ATH.

> I write about it every day on LasseCash and invest in what I believe are the best products, right now Titan X

I guess "write about it every day on LasseCash" includes your sockpuppet accounts.

No, what you "believe are the best products" are get rich quick crypto scams. You haven't lost that greed motivation for a quick buck which you yourself stated is why you bought bitcoin years ago. If there's any doubt look at the post titles you use and content you post. Everything you promote you claim is going to do a 10000X or 100000X. You virtually never describe any technical details beyond what you plagiarize from other crypto scam promoters.

I think people have slow uptake on things that are new to them, and have little desire to learn. This can be seen when learning a new language, or when being forced to do something one doesn't like. It also doesn't help that there is the fear that this technology will replace them anyways. For those that are affected, and in the creative industry [art, programming, writing, etc.], they need to understand it and adapt to it.

It's going to take time. Social media was first thought of as "just for kids" and now every person and business is on it. Most people didn't think we'd buy a lot of our stuff online and in the starting days the internet itself was dismissed as a fad by quite a few people.

It's human nature to cling to what is familiar and not want to adopt the new.
