The banking industry is going to completely change over the next 10 years.  There are reports that 200,000 jobs will be eliminated from United States banks.

At this time, I do not think most are looking at the effect that cryptocurrency will have on the banking industry.  Instead, people are focusing upon what automation will do.

Artificial Intelligence is already in the process of upending many industries.  The fact that banking is going to see the same should come as no surprise.  An Arab bank is starting to implement strategies right now that will affect how it operates in the future.

Arab Banking Corp is putting in an AI "personality" that will be tied to its mobile banking app which will be released later this year.  Named "Fatema", the digital employee is expected to learn what individual customers need to better serve each one.

As you can see from the video, there is a "lifelike" quality to the Fatema.  This is a big step in the direction of autonomous customer services systems since many are too "robotic".  As these types of applications improve, the comfort level people have with them should grow.  The more human-like qualities it has, I would surmise the more people will embrace them.

Customer service representatives are in extreme danger of being automated out.  The technology is improving at a great pace.  If this is what we have today, imagine what these systems will be like in  year or two.

This particular platform is used by other entities.  It is most likely that the learning from the other industries will also be fed in to technology.  This is why we see so much exponential growth with these programs.
