Do Not Forget About xPOLYCUB
Things are happening at a quick pace and we sometimes get lost in all the recent news.  Last week, we saw the introduction of the [pHBD-USDC liquidity pool](https://leofinance.io/@leofinance/phbd-usdc-is-now-live-or-hbd-is-about-to-get-a-usd5-000-000-liquidity-pool).  This is something that really excites people because of the opportunity to generate a great deal of liquidity for HBD.

Since that time a lot of the focus, in terms of articles on [Leofinance](https://leofinance.io/), have been about that very topic.  This is par for the course in cryptocurrency as everyone gets enamored with the "shiny new object".

While the liquidity pool will be a great boon for both **Hive and Polycub**, we need to not lose sight of what is truly taking place.  The pHBD-USDC pool is only a piece of a much larger picture.  For that reason, we must center ourselves and get back to basics.

# Leofinance Tentacles

Leofinance is a multi-pronged ecosystem.  There are many different facets, all designed to enhance the overall value.  This looks a bit erratic and haphazard at times since development is all over the place.  Such is life in the world of coding.

The team is made up of a large number of developers.  They all have different tasks they are assigned to.  Here is where we see the organic formation of the **Leofinance** complex system.  Nothing is operating in a straightforward manner in terms of the rollout.  Whatever is completed next is brought to market.

This can be frustrating in the medium term.  Without the single focus, the overall progress is slowed.  There is not a single thing breaking out.  Instead, we have a wall of projects that are moving forward incrementally. 

What is important to realize here is the tentacles of Leofinance is moving further out.  Some might only be going a few inches but it is still expanding.

This is how ecosystems develop.  Order is not standard with **complex system**.  Some areas will progress much faster than others. 

Ultimately, the real payoff comes when the different projects start to leverage themselves against each other.  Here is where exponentials enter the picture.  A lot of the foundation is being laid at the moment, both in terms of monetary as well as coding.  It is a process and this is something we would all be well to remember.

# xPOLYCUB

To some of us, xPOLYCUB was a rather novel design that we believe will work well.  Framed as **DeFi 2.0** this approach is to use a deflationary emission rate coupled with a Protocol (Treasury) asset accumulation model that generates demand side pressure through its continuous buying of the native token.

As this article is being written, we are now under 2 weeks from the next halving of the emissions rate.  That will move it from 1 POLYCUB per block to .5.  Around the same time, we see the end of the airdrop to CUB holders.  This will put a stop to the 1 million POLYCUB that was dropped since the project went live.

Over the last couple weeks, the price of POLYCUB, in USD terms, is rather stable.  What is really interesting is the xPOLYCUB price really flattened out.  While there was a slow grind down, it was nowhere near as pronounced as 2+ weeks ago.

To me, this means buying pressure is just slightly less than selling.  With a reduction in emissions, this will likely be closed.

Therefore, the prospects of **xPOLYCUB** are strong.  The key is to not forget about what is important.  As someone who has limited resources, it is essential to remain focused upon what I feel is important.

# Going Based Upon Potential

It is no secret how many of us feel about xPOLYCUB.  Here are a few articles stating this individual's view of the future.

There is no need to go through each step as to how these forecasts were arrived at.  The basic premise is that $5 POLYCUB will put us over $100 for xPOLYCUB.  Many feel this is absurd.  That is their right.

Ultimately, those who are willing to buy into what was laid out will be positioned to benefit *if this should happen*.  Certainly there is no guarantee.  

Nevertheless, ensuring the continues accumulation of xPOLYCUB is a smart move.

It is best to keep stepping back to keep the big picture in focus.  Polycub is a platform that is just rolling out some of the more advanced features.  The present state of the platform is still one of speculation.  In other words, it has proven nothing yet.

That said, for those who are confident in what is being developed, it might be a good time to take advantage of the opportunity.  Personally, adding more xPOLYCUB is on my agenda as **Dollar Cost Averaging** is being applied.

Obviously, none of this is financial advice yet we need to keep the idea at the forefront of people's mind.  At some point in the next couple months, the model is going to take effect.  This should lead to a reversal in the USD price of POLYCUB.  

That is when the real fireworks will start.

I think the fact what is done on Polycub will be replicated on Cubfinance is big.  At some point, that will get the love too.

I agree although, to me, it is a great investment now.  I am adding as we go.  Each day, I gain a bit more **xPOLYCUB**.

My view is we are still in DeFi 1.0.  The excitement will really come when we hit **DeFi 2.0**.

I'm quite content to just sit back and wait and watch what happens. I have a modest stake in xPOLYCUB and I'm in no hurry to do anything with it other than just let it sit there... if we *do* end up with $100 xPOLYCUB, then it'll become a nice little chunk of change... and if we *don't?* Well, it's still largely funded with the airdrop, so all is well.

That is true.  No matter how we are, patient or not, we can only wait.  There still are other pieces to roll out.  Over time, we will see the impact.

Many of us are optimistic about the potential here.  Since the ratio is slowing and the USD price fairly stable, we see how the next halving along with the ending of the airdrop can really change things.

What happens is that here at #LeoFinance there are so many and such good projects that we forget some of them every day because of the speed with which things happen. But it is still important to be very aware of xPOLYCUB and give it its development time.

There are a lot of exciting projects.  You are correct.  The key will be when all of this starts to converge.

We are rather fragmented right now but that will pass.  My guess is we see this coming together by the end of the year.

I think xPolyCUB could skyrocket if Khal adds in the % of rewards based on xPolyCUB stake. Well I am not sure if people would flee the farms but I think anyone who sticks around would definitely put in some xPolyCUB.

I'm not sure to what extent deflation is able to create an increase in the conviction to jump into Polycub of all the Yield Platforms out there. Leo/wleo/Cub/Polycub are on it's own level by utility, because we can use them to DEX through the world of DEFI from HIVE or back into HIVE. I'd still love to see more eyecatchers being placed.

Considering the pHBD Farm, I'll add as much as sensibly possible for me and will keep addingg over time. Getting HBD out there is a very swift way to change the face of this Blackchain forever. Looking back, it feels like HIVE did a lot of things in it's width very right, but we missed to deepen to point of general adoption. That might even be right considering the blogging aspects right now.

I would say, at present, there is no increase in conviction due to the deflationary nature of POLYCUB since it is still looking like a lot of other things out there.  Until some of the other features are added, it will be just that. 

It is why the next couple months will see a change.  The latest post by the team mentioned July I believe.  So we will see rollouts over the next 3 months that will start to shape the new model.

As for Hive, certainly there was a lot of trial and error.  That said, we are going to keep pushing and improving.  Nothing goes perfectly.  The fact we are still here says a lot.  **HBD** is a terrific opportunity.  However, we have to all do what we can with it.

I am looking to accumulate about 500 HBD to get into the LP.

500 HBD and 500 USDC, not too bad, flipping a thousand bucks here Mr. T-Master :)

Let's look at the APY after some weeks or months and then take further action. Dropping 1k into an ~60% APY Pool shouldn't turn out to be a bad plan at all and I can see myself going for that as well. Still got some toxic money in half dead DEFI Projects, this looks like a moment to cut losses and reallocate those funds.

My numbers are not at the level of yours but I am following the same pattern.  Keep adding to my xPOLYCUB and get it growing. 

If the design works as planned, it will be a bonanza especially since we will be able to leverage the value through the lending.

I really hope to see 100$ xpolycub but I also would be happy with polycub going back to starting levels. Time will tell.
I have been selling my SPS airdrop for buying more HBD and entered the pHBD-USDC LP earning a few polycub per week but still earning.
I wish the CUB price would see better levels. Seems somehow like an abandoned project and everyone moved on to the nex "shiny thing"
Hopefully we will see some positive things coming our way on the BSC CUB

And we thought LEO was abandoned and suddenly there was the post about the Ad Revenue. 

We just have to keep in mind there are a lot of pieces to the puzzle and they are still fragmented.  That said, we are still putting a lot in place.

Cubfinance is going to get what is rolled out on Polycub.  So it will be the BSC link to all that is being done on Polygon.

I very much hope so, since I raised my CUB stake significantly, which is of course much easier to do at low prices anyways. 

I am in for the long term, sometimes a semi-FUD comes over me, I guess in 5 years we all will be thinking: dang I wish I bought more.

Indeed, xPOLYCUB is underrated. After reading [this post](https://leofinance.io/@taskmaster4450le/xpolycub-to-usd100-more-convinced-than-ever) you authored, I got more bullish about xPOLYCUB and it pays out big time on the long run.


staking as much POLYCUBs now to earn xPOLYCUB can be a great decision. From 2PC=1xPC to 20PC=1xPC, we gradually approach 100PC = 1xPC. That's when the real game would deal and perhaps by then, we would have had $POLYCUB well over  $1.

Well I am not sure we get to 100 PC/xPC since there is not going to be enough POLYCUB out there.  We already see the path from 20 to 21 taking forward.  It will be another 2-3 weeks before we see 21.

I am not sure we can get the ratio to 30 the way things look.  With only 7+ million POLYCUB that will basically be produced, that means we are going to have a tough time with that.  We are at 180K xPOLYCUB now.  

There arent 18 million POLYCUB being printed, at least not for 100 years.

Thus the price will have to be well above $1.

How do we explain the "numbers always going up'? Does it mean that we may have the xPC/PC ratio reduce along the line when $POLYCUB begins to grow in price?
