This was a question posed to me and I thought it would make a good post.


We received an update to the [Leofinance](https://leofinance.io/posts/@leoglossary/leoglossary-what-is-leofinance) UI today.  There were a lot of changes, many for the better.   Hopefully everyone is having a go trip around seeing some of the newer initiatives.  We were told that another update should be coming in the next couple days.

With that out of the way, let us discuss pageviews.  This is now an essential part of the Leofinance [ecosystem](https://leofinance.io/posts/@leoglossary/leoglossary-ecosystem-digital) as it is the second stage of token buying, following the change in the [Hive Power](https://leofinance.io/posts/@leoglossary/leoglossary-hive-power-hp) delegation payouts.

It is all under the umbrella being called LeoAds.  For those unaware, the ad [revenue](https://leofinance.io/posts/@leoglossary/leoglossary-revenue) that is created by the Leofinance [website](https://leofinance.io/posts/@leoglossary/leoglossary-website) is collected and will be fed into a smart contract.  This will convert the [currency](https://leofinance.io/posts/@leoglossary/leoglossary-currency) (most likely [Bitcoin](https://leofinance.io/posts/@leoglossary/leoglossary-bitcoin)) and purchase [$LEO](https://leofinance.io/posts/@leoglossary/leoglossary-leo) on the open [market](https://leofinance.io/posts/@leoglossary/leoglossary-market).   It will be then distributed to [Leo Power](https://leofinance.io/posts/@leoglossary/leoglossary-leo-power) holders.


This is a fairly simply process and one that people should quickly see how to monetize.

The key here is to generate organic traffic on the platform that creates more pageviews.  Hence, we will go through a few in this article.


We will deal with [LeoThreads](https://leofinance.io/posts/@leoglossary/leoglossary-leothreads) with the first few suggestions.

## Click On Threads And Comments


This is as simple as it gets. 


When you see a thread, click on it.  This could be supplemented with a [comment](https://leofinance.io/posts/@leoglossary/leoglossary-comment-hive), or maybe it isn't.  If there are other comments under the thread, click on them to get them to open.  This creates clicks and it nothing more than moving around to read threads and comments.


Of course, the idea is to stimulate engagement so that is something to consider.  Not every thread can be commented upon but many can. 


Another tip tied to this, for those on desktop, open all replies in your notifications.  Right click and open in another tab.  This also creates another click as the url for the comment itself is opened.

## Add Top Line Threads


This is also rather simple.  


It is best if people add a lot of top line threads.  This is how we can increase engagement.  Some are not comfortable doing this so it is up to others to provide something to engage with.


One of the easiest things to do is to ask a question.  People love to help out or show how smart they are.  For this reason, simply ask a question.  It can be about anything whatsoever.


Some of the most active threads are those when people are asking about either Hive or Leofinance. 


The bottom line is enhanced by the top line.  So get those threads flowing some others can engage (and click on them).

## Have A Conversation


Engagement is about interacting with others in a conversation.  This also can be about anything.


One of the easiest ways to do this is to simply reply to any comment you get.  This can be tricky as many people leave stuff that doesn't foster conversation.  Naturally, there is a lesson for us.  Try to leave comments that can be replied to.  One word responses are conversation killers.


Avoid them.


We have people with a wide array of interests and backgrounds.  Tap into that.  Learn from these people.  Conversation are how people interact.  Try it.  You will find it enjoyable.

## Drop Leofinance Links


This can either be to the long form content or to other threads.


One word of caution: links in at the top level, in a thread, are not allowed.  This is because of the abuse of the community simply dropping links and nothing else.  If you want to post a link, put up the thread and then comment on that.  When that opens up, drop the link and you will have the link tied to your thread.


The idea is not to spam.  However, if there is something you find interesting, send it out.  For example, not only did I link the Leofinance article in this post, I put it on threads.  


Ultimately, this becomes a numbers game.  If we post more links, the chance that something gets clicked on goes up.


Of course, we want this on other [social media](https://leofinance.io/posts/@leoglossary/leoglossary-social-media) platforms also.  


So take to [Twitter](https://leofinance.io/posts/@leoglossary/leoglossary-twitter), [Facebook](https://leofinance.io/posts/@leoglossary/leoglossary-facebook), and Nostr (this was mentioned by someone today).  Again, don't spam them because your followers will get upset.  But dropping a link into a conversation where appropriate is not a bad idea.

## LeoGlossary


The next few pertain to [LeoGlossary](https://leofinance.io/posts/@leoglossary/leoglossary-main-menu).  


Below is a screenshot of the page views of LeoGlossary only.  As you can see, we have over 500.  This is a number that can be increased to move the total up.


Again a lot of the same techniques apply.

This seems rather obvious but each link that I used in this article required that I open the page.  In fact, there were some that required at least a few since I had to use the main menu first.  This means that one link might taken 3 clicks to get there.


What this means is there were a number of clicks added even if nobody ever uses them in the article.


So put the links in your posts.

## Drop Links


How often have we seen someone ask a question about Leofinance or Hive?  Usually this happens on LeoThreads. 


What happens?  Someone rushes right in and gives the answer.  Yet, nowhere is there a link to LeoGlossary dropped.


People need to understand we have a repository of information on these topics.  Take a look at this:

* [What is Leofinance](https://leofinance.io/posts/@leoglossary/leoglossary-what-is-leofinance)

These are epicenters of information.  We have over 2,900 pages of [cryptocurrency](https://leofinance.io/posts/@leoglossary/cryptocurrency), [finance](https://leofinance.io/posts/@leoglossary/leoglossary-finance), and other related content.  


Each time someone visits a page, it is a click.

I will give you a quick example:


On threads, the topic of [money](https://leofinance.io/posts/@leoglossary/leoglossary-money) came up and I mentioned how giant stones were used for that in the past.  When questioned about it, I simply dropped a link:


* [Yap Stone Money](https://leofinance.io/posts/@leoglossary/leoglossary-stone-money-of-yap)


Here again, we see multiple clicks to convey the idea.  And this is all before the individual I was threading with reads it.

## Drop Links Into LeoThreads


Here is another simple way to get a few more clicks.


Let me give you an example.  I could reply to someone thread with:

*The reason I like this [blockchain](https://leofinance.io/posts/@leoglossary/blockchain) is because of zero [transaction fees](https://leofinance.io/posts/@leoglossary/leoglossary-transaction-fee).*


It is a simple way to get some internal links going.

Increasing the page views will have to be a community effort.  There is no magic bullet, especially at these early stages.  Perhaps we might attract someone who will drop a Leofinance link on social media that goes vital.  Until that time, it is up to us.

A lot of small actions add up.  There really is no ceiling here.
