The tariff situation is showing how crucial it is for battery producton to be located within the US.

The majority are bought from companies like Panasonic and CATL.  The 4680 are produced in minimal numbers at the moment, causing the reliance on cells coming from China.

It is a point of vulnerability for Tesla especially for its Megapacks.
