This is an excellent article @gniksivart.

You nailed Amazon's plan with Alexa.  It wants to be the OS for each person's home.  This is nothing but control for this mega-corporation.  It is why the company has continually sought to eat up market share even at a loss.

Decentralization is never going to be more vital.  It is essential to the future that people start to break up into virtual tribes and form "local" economies through communities.

Thanks for the kind words!

It's "smart" for a company to make it that you completely rely on them. If they create "value" in your life why not?

It is nice to see even as Amazon grows that small companies and mom and pop shops are starting to make a come back as people start to put more value on personal interactions.

Decentralization is vital and only a matter of time before 3rd parties like Amazon are cut out completely as more and more decentralized markets are created requiring less and less premium for you to sell your stuff on their market place. 

Just think when 99 % of all sales are P2P or direct to consumer as a market place only requires 0.01% or even less of all sales on the site.

I can see that taking place with marketplaces cropping on among the different communities.  People will have crypto to spend, thus are looking for an outlet.  Being able to buy goods that are commonly purchased on Amazon etal will really put a dent in the centralized business model.
