Once again, it's very simple. Follow the money.  Ranchers have lots of cash to spend on "studies" too.  Margarine used to be better for you than butter.  Eggs were bad for you.  Red wine was good for the heart.  Red meat is bad. Everything is about whose ox is being gored.  Pitchfork nation follows the loudest voice regardless of "truth".

If you want a *real* example, look at how the Dems are now all saying the Covid deaths were not as high as they were during the election cycle.  They're revising all their numbers downwards and now saying the lockdowns were actually better for the economy than keeping businesses open.  Plus, their cases per capita were lower than the open states.  They use inflated numbers to steal an election and then they use deflated numbers to make themselves look good after the election is over.  The blatant hypocrisy is overwhelming.  It is really hard to believe they can say this shit with a straight face.  Kids in cages during Trump.  Now Kamala won't even visit the border.  Open the gates to all during Trump.  Stay where you are now that they're in office.

Whatever you think about Trump, you can literally go down a list of about 20 campaign promises he fulfilled.  So far Biden has about an equally long list of promises already broken.

What were we talking about again?!?  lol

Oh yeah, meat.

That's true. It's the reason I always try to see things from multiple angles. The good old "Do your own research" kinda thing applies here too, although it can be a little harder depending on the topic...

In the end, whatever people with the most money say it's the truth will be accepted by the markets

Yeah who knows. I am currently moving to a vegetarian diet so I don't care much. But if the lab-grown meat stops killing of animals then I am up for it. Not sure how much of it is harmful to the environment without testing it on the ground.

I've been focusing on my health and fitness for the last 8 years and I've cut out the obvious crap, but I'm with you @tfranzini; I would be lying if I said I can become a full vegan and not miss meat. With that said, I have been trying plant based offerings at places here in Central Florida and when my fiancé and I have traveled that I am absolutely not worrying about it as much if I ever do decide to. I also must admit that I feel muuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuch better after eating anything that is plant based. Granted, there has been some clunkers that was outright nasty lol.
