Can you believe I went to a place where they take xerox copies (I don't know what it's called there) and in the corner of the store, I found some DVDs and discovered that in the past there was a DVD rental store in that place. 

It's rare to see this nowadays.

It's great to see innovations like this solid-state cooling that promises to be much more effective than what we're used to having today. 


Here where I live, when it's hot, we suffer a lot and if it weren't for the air conditioning, things would be much more complicated. 

With this new technology, things can be much more efficient and who knows, in the future something very accessible.

Hard  question to answer since technologies tend to converge.  For example, if one mentioned computers, that is now tied to mobile for the most part.

There are so many fields that are tied together.  We have LLMs and data centers sucking massive amounts of energy, so we need energy breakthroughs.

One of the other potential buyers was Sony, who had looked at Paramount but now has decided not to buy Paramount, including its streaming services Pluto TV and Paramount+. This comes from a report by Deadline who says their sources confirmed Sony dropped out of the bid. Sony had reportedly made a preliminary $26 billion offer, but Paramount decided to go with Skydance instead. After that, Sony declined not to make a new offer.

According to our summer 2024 survey of more than 1,000 Cord Cutters News readers, YouTube TV dominates the live TV streaming arena with 26.8% of readers subscribing to YouTube TV. In second place is Sling TV with 9.4% of cord cutters subscribing to their skinny bundle of channels.

There is a major change in third place with Frndly TV jumping from just 2.9% in the spring of 2024 to almost 9% in the summer. Philo also saw strong growth jumping up to 7.5% of our survey.
