i sold part of a stack of savings recently, then four days later markets crashed a bit, i think i called it about right, the rest i can let just ride for the rest of the year. i’m trying to find ways to just “forget about it” — it’s really difficult to do that thou when a project is either building in new features, the chain has a fork or people build out new projects on it.
i’m very keen on blockchains that are fast and low fees after my recent success with $bsv and their first big launch of nft’s on rarecandy.io — i’ll certainly be running a little “purse” for those pickups with my intention to purchase a few at a time, flip one for those people who forget to get there at MINT and wanna fomo in after they miss the news, it’s like a tax for not following along in time, that shit costs you! (bit like how news agencies like reuters wanna charge you for a news terminal to hear about things first)
certainly a year for more hardware wallet action, more dollar averaging in, little roundups here and there on platforms that i can easily get fiat funds into digital things — suggest you do the same, if you are like me you have a few startup bank apps and you have your accounts on “freeze” until you need to use them — i often check my balance and if it’s an even number i round down to an even amount. those quids mount up, trust me!

my favs are using something like wirex, argent, uphold, stuff where i can get in and out really fast and the transaction is easy, another i really like is bit stocks although they do things a little different where you send funds to a bank account and they watch that and add that to your account, it’s not as flexible in terms of sending those digital funds around but great for just a “storage” medium — as they have NFT’s coming in Q1 it’s a place i’m hoping they can pull funds from directly, don’t expect to be able to change BSV to other cryptos thou!
i’d like to see a bunch more of centralised solutions for the gig workers start using crypto more this year coming. i doubt it will happen but it would be great if they had off-ramps to taking our payments in crypto or send out to existing wallets — the one that offers really custom controls here could do very well for the crypto community.
Imagine being able to just work for your existing clients and a percentage of your weekly funds went into different crypto pots on the regular. you could just keep your head down, get on with the work week and then look up at the end of the weeks payouts and see how well those pots were performing since last week — the first gig site to do this will attract some of the capital investments that are going into these projects — many need to raise or sell at this stage anyway.
shame to see how the decentralized gig worker offerings fell flat this year, too many spammers and scammers, we need better tools for securing real clients and certainly these platforms need to do ad spend and seo to bring in clients into these realms, maybe the crypto payments scares them off a little bit because they have to do that conversion before paying the hired help.
i’d like to forget about my mistiming of a drop this year, got a bag slashed by 70/80% once this year, i nearly thought fuck it to the whole thing. Wasn’t a good move on my part, i was just trying to flip in a small time frame, bad move what with the side swipe of NFT’s propping up this thing this year. I’ll be more focused on the utility outcomes of these chains this year otherwise we are just giving free cash to these on boarders to get things swapped and changed!

i really got into staking and pay to play, earning those nft’s that activate things “in game” i think that’s a good model, especially if you get in early, knowing that you are gonna get returns on the daily, weekly and then using something like sushi swap to be able to swap to other token projects that are popping up that have crazy returns — those are a nice crypto side quests.
gonna do my best to just stick to my guns on some of the crypto projects and coins that i think have “legs” — i’m really not so bothered about bitcoin these days if i’m honest. i’m more interested in eco/power saving chains — chains that look at blockchain differently, lower cost, multiple sharded hosting systems, domain names that i pay for once for life — stuff that i can do once and it’s just set in place, things i can let run for 6/12 months and come back to and upgrade to the latest and greatest then.
i think this coming year will be the year of the hardware devices too — i’ve been falling $HNT like crazy this year, been great to see how that been solid, i do think IoT with a side order of blockchain and a token attached to it are great for those that have real estate or airbnb’s — you should certainly be considering MESHing those things up because when your slow for a week or two in a month your residuals might help cover you — especially when you see things like 5g add on boxes for helium to run your cell — publicly owned cellular networks, that’s what i’m talking about right there.

i’m certainly about having a bunch of residuals that cover all the day to day needs of this meat sack, if all the jobs are all going and the tides are rising doesn’t it make sense to have a connected inland setup that covers all your meat sack needs each day? :)
