Thanx for the information.  we all know steem is reputed currency that makes our future  well.

I am new to Steemit and really like the format and that there are a wide range of topics people write about.  I hope the new year brings some usability improvements to the site.  I feel like there are so many steem related services and am unsure if they are official or what and it's not clear to a newbie.  Why does everything need it's own steem____ name? Can't it all be steem?  I have no expectations about price I just hope it stays at a rate that everyone is happy with to keep blogging/vlogging.

I just found and joined Steemit a few days back, just it has been an amazing experience so far. Steem will definitely thrive in the new year and years to come.
I do hope that Steem and SBD get listed in some of the more popular exchanges in Asia such as Binance, and that more support to both traditional and simplified chinese language support on Steemit.

Awesome read. Tough to predict where any crypto will go, but Steemit definitely is one of the few that feels like a movement versus a fling. Excited to see where it develops!

2018 will be the year for Cryptocurrencies! Steem will continue to grow and expand. I believe it's likely to dip back down, but if it does, Steem's value will quickly start rebounding and slowly increase, week by week. Then by the end of this year, Steem will be worth $5 to $25. It must go up. Fintech loves this platform and graphene tech, but that's not the only reason the price will keep rising, this group of Steemians are loyal, dedicated and will stop a huge drop in the price.

SBDs will go back down...soon. They're designed to be stabilized at $1, so it's inevitable. With that being said, sell, sell, sell all your SBDs daily!

My picks for 2018 are STEEM, RIPPLE, MONERO, DASH, & LITECOIN.

There are also a few noobs that look very positive as well!

Thanks for the update! I think that Steemit has a great future ahead. While there is a definite pump happening at the moment from some medium with regards to the SBD, I agree with your long term values Of The token.

It is interesting to see Mark Zuckerberg talk about decentralisation, as his original goal with Facebook was to give power back to the people. It is clear that what Facebook failed to do, Steemit is making up for. While there will be other platforms rushing towards decentralisation in 2018 and onwards, Steemit will be standing strong with a large, dedicated user base. The future is bright for Steemit!

Steem definitely has the potential to hit $10 this year, but I think it might not be as soon as people anticipate it to get that's the feeling I'm getting.....

I was told before to HODL SBD and not Steem because more Steem can be created (or something like that). But I'm seeing how Steem is rising and I'm tempted to sell my SBD for Steem and once it increases to a nice amount, i'll power up to Steem power. Decisions decisions...

Even if SBD and Steem price stays as is for a longer duration of time, I believe people will still be happy with the platform, free transaction fees, and the community.

If the high SBD price keeps up then STEEM should be _definitely_ worth more than it is now, perhaps even by a factor 10!

However, I do not think the situation with SBD is natural and I suspect something fishy is going on. It is probably cause for the rise in STEEM as well, since Steemians can use their SBD profits to buy more STEEM. Or atleast, they were until the price ratio got smaller recently. 

I've got my own suspicions that perhaps somebody is draining the reward pool with bots, using those profits to in combination with smart trading bots to drive the price up of SBD, thereby increasing the profits of the bots draining the reward pool even more (and all of ours with it). I don't know how to find any facts supporting this though.

And I'm not sure I mind either, I _love_ my payouts with this high SBD price!
