Some days are good days and some days are really good days! Today is one of the latter because the Bitcoin price just topped $5,000 for the first time in history today. This is a very important number psychologically and it is sure to spark even more momentum and awareness among the masses.

According to a recent article in Forbes titled 'Bitcoin Price Tops $5,000 For First Time' there are a few more worthy points to note: 

>The crypocurrency's price had risen to as much as $5,005.26 at the time of report, according to the CoinDesk Bitcoin Price Index (BPI). This brought its year-to-date (YTD) return to almost 420%.

>Bitcoin's price has pushed higher amid a variety of factors, including technological improvements, growing interest in cryptocurrencies and sustained inflows from investors.

>While this digital asset undergoes these technical upgrades, the broader cryptocurrency space has been generating significant visibility.
