# China is committed to new transport mode, namely the hyperloop

- China is going to upgrade its transport system through a partnership with California Hyperloop Transportation Technologies. As the name implies, China wants to start with the expansion of the transport system on the basis of a hyperloop. The first 'line' comes in the province of Guizhou, other provinces will be discussed later.

- Hyperloop Transportation Technologies (HTT) and the state-owned Tongren Transportation Tourism Investment Group will start a joint venture for the construction of a hyperloop track in China. Furthermore, research will also be done into the technology to refine them.

- The hyperloop, a concept that was presented in 2012 by Elon Musk, is in reality pure 2018. Several companies are working on a race to the top in this segment. You have the Virgin Hyperloop One, Hyperloop Transportation Technologies and Elon Musk's Boring Company.

## Tourism
 
- According to Dirk Ahlborn, CEO of HTT, the intention is to build a commercial hyperloop in the region that is primarily intended to give tourism a 'boost'. The start of the project will take place somewhere at the end of this year, or early next year. Hyperloop Transportation Technologies would also have commercial agreements with Abu Dhabi and Ukraine.

- In the agreement with China, HTT provides the technology, engineering expertise and essential equipment, while Tongren takes on the relevant certificates, the regulatory framework and the construction of the system. The company will be a public-private partnership with 50 percent of the money coming directly from Tongren.

- The joint venture will build a 10-kilometer track in the city of Tongren in the first phase. This makes the transport system in China a lot faster than it already is. They have the world's longest high-speed rail line and want to expand into a supersonic transport network.
