- A few months ago, Taiwanese HTC let it be known that they are developing the first real blockchain smartphone. This should come on the market by the end of the year. In an update about the new device, HTC confirmed that they are working with Charlie Lee to integrate Litecoin.
- At first it was Charlie Lee himself who announced the news. Lee joins the development team of Exodus, the name of HTC's blockchain smartphone. Lee also confirmed that Exodus will support Litecoin's Lightning Network. HTC confirmed the news of Charlie Lee a few days later and announced that they were 'honored' with the Litecoin CEO as an advisor.
- According to HTC, the Exodus will serve as a mobile connection point in a world of decentralized networks and can store its crypto coins on it. According to Raymond Pao, vice president VR new technology at HTC, the Exodus smartphone will serve as a hub for blockchain networks, just like the PC in the early days of the internet.
## Pre-sale with Bitcoin, Ethereum and Litecoin?
- HTC is not just working on this project. They work together with Ethereum and DFinity. HTC wants to optimize the user experience and works together with the experts from Ethereum. Charlie Lee is now also a consultant.
- HTC hopes to sell the blockchain smartphone by the end of 2018. When the device comes on the market, according to HTC, a pre-sale will take place where one can only pay with Bitcoin or Ether. Now that Charlie Lee is on board, there is also a chance that you can pay with Litecoin during the pre-sale.
