So I became an active member of this community earlier this year so I really don't know much about the past of the Leofinance community,  but in the past few months of being active here, I can easily say the community has been the fastest growing community on the Hive blokchain and I'm super excited for its future particularly. 

In this post, I'll be focusing on four areas that's have metamorphose into something huge in the past  few months and comparing them with the then, now and the future of Leofinance. Hopefully they'd give a better understanding of where we were coming from, our current state and where we're heading.

**1. Onboarding:**
Leofinance has taken onboarding of new users to the Hive blockchain and to the Leofinance community quite seriously than any other community I've seen on Hive so far. Preaching the gospel of Leofinance was of course happening from the genesis of the community,  but in the last few months,  the rate of onboarding new users has been crazy and I'm glad to have been a part of that.  The community leaders have created several ways to make the community as welcoming and supportive to new users and it just keeps getting better.

 I remember when users of Hive like myself weren't so sure of how to contribute to the community because we felt the community was strictly for finance analyst, crypto experts and Wall Street dons. Turned out the community was just perfect for everyone so long they had an open mind, had financial experiences to share and could write (which may not topnotch at first, but it only gets better). The future of Leofinance is far greater than its current state. Many users in their thousands and probably millions will be joining us in the future and with all the steps taken by the community, we may just as well be one of the leading blogging platforms in the world. 

Crypto is getting popular by the day, blogging and content creation is fast becoming a big deal and soon, the freedom and decentralization Web 3.0 platforms like Leofinance offer will be one of the most sorted feature out there. It's just a matter of time before the community become a global sensation.


**2. LeoMobile:**
I was avaliable during the launch of LeoMobile and I took part in the contest for designing the app's layout. It was alot of fun taking part in such a huge contest but you know what was more fun? Making use of the app. Before the app, I had to use my browser and it was a bit tough navigating the pages especially since my browser had alot of web pages in tabs. Trying to find the Leofinance Web page was war and I was really glad the app made my user experience better. Blogs could be created with ease, I could check out content of other creators swiftly and I finally had a place for all my Leofinance activities.

It was a great development by the team and I sincerely don't take it for granted. The app would definitely be better with features like live streaming, stories, Leo Shorts (like Leo threads) which are features that could bring more usage for the app and ultimately increase the users of Leofinance. 


**3. LPUD:**
This is one of the developments that have happened in the past few months and one that gets me excited every month. The Leo Power Up Day encourages power ups and support of the community by users.

Since LPUD started, the total $Leo powered up by the community has doubled,  if not tripled. This initiative not only allows a healthy community for the $Leo to strive but also gives users the ability to stack some $Leo on preparation  for when $Leo blows up. We didn't have this a year ago, and with the amazing prizes and badges attached for simply powering up, I doubt if we won't make LPUD fest or hangout in the future..why not?...lol.

**4. Leo Threads:**
Last but not the least, we now have Leothreads for users who'd love to create short contents. This was a huge development and enjoy going through the threads created by users everyday. Leo threads makes teb blogging experience complete especially since we live in a world were people love interactions with content that is short and quick to assimilate. We didn't have this a year ago and people had to struggle with that buy creating long posts everything and having to worry about getting downvoted for short contents.  Well this is huge and in the future we can only expect improvements on Leothreads like Leo Shorts for short video contents and also having a massive user base for Leothreads.


Theses are just a few of the great developments in the Leofinance community over the past few months and I simply can't begin to imagine where we'd be in a decade from now. Thanks for reading through. I hope you enjoyed this.
