## How much time do you think you have?

Life as we all know is a precious gift that was offered to us by God free of charge.
We've been swimming in its abundance right from the day we were formed even in our mothers womb but have you ever sat down to ask yourself how much time you have to live or maybe you may be thinking that you got forever to be here and nothing can change that fact.
I'm not tryna be pessimistic, but the truth has to be told.

*Have you ever thought about the shortness of life???*


On one occasion I had this conversation with my elder sister and she dropped a bombshell that got my mouth wide open. I thought about what she said the whole day and saw facts in what she said in the whole conversation.
We were actually talking about how to achieve something great at least at an early stage in life, not waiting till we get to a particular age before thinking of setting up something and I told her that she shouldn't bother about all of those for now that we're still young and got all the time we need.
My sister looked me straight in the face and asked me how long I think I have to stay here in this world. I almost got pissed thinking she was wishing me death but then I sat back and pondered on the question.

I looked back to the past and remembered all the loved ones and close friends we had that had passed away without achieving their goal even when they had plans to get to greater heights.
Just recently last Sunday, I went to church and met a young lady who was all out singing and dancing out of the abundance of her heart, I admired her mood of worshipping God you know! But I never thought that would be the last time I would see that lady. She actually died the same Sunday night and couldn't see the next day.
The news reached us and the memories about the question my sister threw at me came back.
I thought out loud " but she never looked sick" yeah she wasn't sick but she left to the unknown.
I couldn't move an inch from where I stood at that moment my leg seemed tied. It was bad news indeed.
There are some that even left while handling a project at hand.
Everyone wished to stay forever including myself but the question is;


 
### Is that possible??


Life is way too short to be wasted just like that.
At times I see people who are very good at procrastinating always being at " I have tomorrow to work on myself ". Really?? I just look at them with pity and the knowledge that these categories of people are totally ignorant of what that tomorrow may tell.
No one can predict the next day no matter how hard you try.
Every morning when you wake up and find yourself breathing, it's worth the Thanksgiving to the giver of life.
Take hold of this today and get the best of it cause we don't have much time, time ticks pretty fast these days and at times it gets really annoying to me.
The year runs out so fast too and before you know it that baby that was just a month old is getting to his/ her early thirties.
And then You see that person doing the extraordinary and you are like this child of yesterday.

***Life, our precious gift, isn't worth wasting.
Ponder on these things.***
