I had to go downtown this evening and decided to bring my camera in case I saw a shot or two. As I made my way to Jackson Square mall (Hamilton, Ont.), I passed by the MacNab transit terminal. A place that I have done light trail shots at many times, but this time saw an angle that I had never seen before.

Behind the terminal walk ways is a small road and sidewalk. I thought that it could be pretty cool to take a shot looking through the glass walls with buses passing by on the other side and started to look for a good place to set up.  This is when I noticed an older man sitting down very still. It is rare to get random people sitting still enough for a long exposure shot, but since I have never had success with that why not try it out?

I snapped the above picture with an 8 second shutter speed. I couldn't believe that he stayed that still for the whole 8 seconds! But he did for way more than just that, I was able to move position and snap too more before he moved at all! (both at 8 second shutter speeds)

After the man got up and got on to his bus, I reset and took the shot that I had an initial vision of.

It is nights like these that remind me why it is so important to have a camera with me whenever I can! For those rare moments that don't usually happen twice.
