While I was at the gym today, it struck my mind that I should make a post on the health benefits of exercising regularly. Exercise can be simply put as any physical activity requiring physical effort, done especially as a training to sustain or improve health. Exercise can also be said to be any movement that makes the muscles work and makes the body to burn calories. Exercise includes swimming, running, jogging, walking, dancing etc to mention a few. Below are some benefits of exercising regularly: - Exercising regularly can improve ones mood and reduce feelings of anxiety and depression. It can even increase one's happiness level due to the various hormones released during exercise. - Exercise has favorable effects on the pain that is associated with various conditions. It can also increase pain tolerance. - Exercising regularly can help you sleep better and feel more energized during the day. - Exercise can help you maintain muscle mass and weight loss, since it improves metabolism and burning of calories. - Regular exercise helps build muscles and strong bones. - Regular physical activities increase energy level. - Exercising regularly reduce the risk of chronic diseases and improve insulin sensitivity and cardiovascular fitness. - Regular physical activity improves blood flow to the brain and it can help protect mental function - Regular exercise promote better sex life.
