Dear Friends, Nowadays, every organization is launching their Testnet and Mainnet for the growth of their project and blockchain. But some beginners are not aware of these terms. So I decided to cover very basic part of these networks. After reading this post you will easily understand the difference between Testnet and Mainnet.

**Importance of Testnet and Mainnet before investing in any ICO**
If you are trying to invest, it’s very important to see whether they have the plan to launch its own Testnet and Mainnet because these are the two important parameters which are truly considerable in the growth of any good project.

**TESTNET**
Testnet is an alternative to blockchain of bitcoin and it is used for testing purpose only. Testnet coins are separate coins and have no value. Developers are using it for experiment purpose only without harming the operations of the original blockchain.
Testnet size of the transaction is small as compared to the main blockchain. Latest generation for Testnet is the second generation. Moreover, the Testnet network and original bitcoin network is not compatible with each other. Testnet can be reset at any time. Faucets are one easiest way to acquire Testnet coins, which do not have any value.

**MAINNET**
As the name suggests “Main Network”; It is the end-product which is available for public use. Similar to Testnet, the Mainnet developers can update the blockchain whenever it is required. It is the main network where actual transactions carried out and it will reflect on the distributed ledger as a record. Mainnet coins are real and have the value in the market.

Just before the launch of Testnet, 10% of trading volume on the Binance has been seen for TRX/BTC pair which effectively increased TRX market cap.

**FUSION TESTNET LAUNCHED ON 31st MAY**

FUSION is a good project and developed by Qtum and Vechain team which will solve the interoperability and scalability issue of the blockchain. You can see the price surged to more than 70% in May month 2018.

**EOS MAINNET scheduled LAUNCHED on 2nd June (Postponed to July due to some bugs in Mainnet).**
 You can see the situation before the EOS Mainnet launch. It just touched to 22.61 USD.

**ARK MAINET LAUNCHED ON 21st March 2018**
Ark mainnet launched on 21st march and just before the launch, huge pump can be seen in the graph given below.

**Upcoming MAINNET in Quarter 3 of 2018.**

1.	**Zilliqa (ZIL)**:  Ziliqa has already surged 33% before its Testnet launched in April 2018. Now the team is fully working on the Mainnet launch on September 30th, 2018. So you can track on this wonderful project.

2.	**TEZOS (XTZ)**:  Tezos planned to launch its Mainnet in Q3 2018. Dates are not officially announced yet. Earlier they are working on Alphanet and Betanet network.
