Recently I have seen some persons saying that their account were compromise through Metamask wallet and all their hard earned tokens were stolen. While I keep seeing similar stories like this around the web, I was forced to do some back investigation to ascertain if this is true or an avenue to spoil the beautiful name of Metamask wallet. Since I have come across like five issues I was forced to write some basic tips on how your wallet and it tokens can be safe without it getting hacked.

Even if you are the richest man on earth, you know you will never  be happy seeing that you lost your hard earned money to scammers. The story is not always sweet at all. We all knows that making money has not been easy at all not to talk of loosing it. Once some person sees that they have the opportunities to get you exploited they will try all between their wish to get that accomplished. This is why anything that you are doing expecially with it is related to blockchain, you have to make sure that you knows the basic of it.

On one of my post I wrote about some safety measures which you can apply in other for your blockchain wallet not to get compromised. Some of the things I said on that post, I will love to repeat it again. Make sure that whatsoever thing that you are doing, you should not in any way share your seed phrase with anybody. With your seed phrase anybody can access your account. So if you give this to anybody, just knows that the person has access to that wallet already.

Be carefully of the type of links you open and also the type of software you install into your computer. This might be used to hack your account or act as spy to get your wallet keys. You have to be vigilant of what you are doing especially since money is involved in it. Deviating from the safety talk above and moving to the main topic at hand, I will love to say that they are some amazing features that Metamask wallet has that wallet like Token pocket, Trust wallet etc does not have. This I will say is the main reason while some person love using Metamask wallet. Another thing to note here is that for those using phone to access their cryptocurrency wallet, Matamask makes it easier for you to be able to access different blockchain wallet in a go. With Metamask wallet you can also use your Ethereum wallet in different blockchain instead of creating multiple blockchain wallet. This is amazing right? This is where I am heading to.


<center><div class=phishy>How to add other blockchain wallet configuration with the aid of Metamask wallet</div></center>

Take for instance that this is your Ethereum wallet address,  0xece4538f50e6F852Cf66f56D41AB48B1AdDD0eb0. Now if you are asked to submit your wallet address for Polygon blockchain,  Xdai Network, Binance Smart Chain or Songbird Network wallet, you can decide to use same wallet address for your Ethereum wallet for the rest blockchain instead of needing to create new account all the time. What I mean is that the wallet address that belong to your Ethereum wallet can be used for the rest blockchain without needing to create new account.

Now this is how to go about it. We will be using Songbird wallet configuration as a case study. Now go to your Metamask and open it.

After it opened, click on the three lines at the top. Once it opened click on settings. Once settings opened, click on Network. Once you click on Network it will now show you a page where you will be asked to add network. Now click on add network but before you can do this you must make sure that you have the Configuration system of the blockchain you want to add in place. 

Now let us say below is Songbird blockchain configuration.
                                                                                                                                                   
 a) Network name: Songbird


b) RPC URL: https://songbird.towolabs.com/rpc



c) Chain ID: 19



d) Symbol: SGB


e) Block explorer URL: https://songbird-explorer.flare.network

All you have to do is to input it differently on where it is required. After completing that, click save. Immediately you do that you will discover that this your Ethereum wallet address can now be used in the Songbird blockchain. With that configuration same wallet address can now be used in both blockchain. If somebody asked you to send your Songbird wallet address to him or her you can simply send this 0xece4538f50e6F852Cf66f56D41AB48B1AdDD0eb0 and if the person as for your Ethereum wallet address you can also use same wallet and it will work. This is just too amazing I must admit.

Instead of having to stress ourself around creating multiple wallet in different blockchain and also having to write down multiple see phrase, Metamask has made it easier for us to be able to just use just our single Ethereum wallet in all blockchain by simply inputting the rightful configuration settings by the aid of the Matamask wallet.
