WarzonePolitics - Introducing the Politics alternative to LeoFinance
So coming back to Steemit after a 3 year hiatus, I learned that most people migrated to Hive and the hottest shit on Hive is their interface LeoFinance. I tried it the past days and I really like it, there is just one huge problem: Crypto and Finance is not the main topic I am interested in. I am much more interested in Politics. 

Politics on Hive could really benefit from having it's own User Interface. Imagine being able to sort your feed for news, left-wing, right-wing, anarchism, centrism, memes, Europe, America, Asia or a mix of those. 

## WAR-Token

Of course I would also like to introduce a new Token called WAR. This Token should primarily work like any community token as an upvote Token. The much more interesting secondary function should be as a downvote Token. It is naturally integrated into Hive, but I am not sure how bad it is for someone to get downvoted on Hive. We might have to separate WAR-downvotes from regular downvotes.

### War in WarzonePolitics

These downvotes should not be given out randomly but only after a formal declaration war between certain communities. If the War is accepted both communities shall produce content with the tag "raidable". This content should be bolstered up by some whales of the respective community so there is something to raid. Downvotes should also be always paired with comments, criticizing one of the arguments brought forward in the raidable Post. If the criticism is refuted as baseless the downvote should be retracted.

This or similar is how I imagine a War to be held on WarzonePolitics , maybe to spice it up we can make a Total War function where Posts can be raided that are not marked raidable but for that an amount equal to the downvotes has to be paid as fee (burnt maybe).

# What do I need?

(1) I need someone who can provide technical assistance, I never programmed a proper UI and I never created a Token. I would love to be a part of the process though, not only giving my input on every step of the way but also learning the skills needed to do things like that on my own. I just did a Java programming course and worked as a Software Tester for 6 years, so I have a little bit of a foundation.

(2) I also need someone really interested in politics that I can bounce ideas off. A partner in Crime who is as enthusiastic about the project as I am. 

(3) Someone who can produce high quality artwork.

Generally anyone who wants to support the project is welcome. But I would like to have a team of at least 4, me and the positions I mentioned above.     

# Banner Challenge - EARN 50 HIVE

To start anything we at least need a first banner and I really suck at doing art, so under this post you can join and do a banner art for WarzonePolitics. The art I like the best will win 50 Hive and I will let open to banter for copyright with art that I might also like but did not make 1st place.<b>Edit2:</b> It would be nice if you could highlight the politics aspect rather than the War part.

I dont want to give too many details for the artwork, I think the text "WarzonePolitics" should be included, but do whatever you think fits best, dont let me hinder your creativity!

I will use the artwork of the contest for this post, that is why it is looking rather barren right now.

On a "meta level," what you suggest certainly makes sense!

Politics is a clearly defined niche, much like Crypto and Investing is a nicely defined niche for LeoFinance.

At this point, I am only familiar with **@politicalhive** which doesn't have its own front end, but just a community: **https://hive.blog/created/hive-179804** which I believe was dreamed up by **@holovision.** However, they DO have their own hive-engine "Payment Token" (symbol: PAY) which has occasionally showed up in my wallet, but I don't really understand its criteria for distribution. But they've been around a while, and it was a *"transfer"* from ~~Steem~~ back in the spring.

It's definitely a topic that could use it's own structured community, but I have no idea how you'd encourage a community culture that results in anything but a round-the-clock verbal brawl.

But I wish you much success with the endeavor!

well half of the communities posts is @cyberdemon531 , and while I dont mind her, she hates my guts and doesnt like debating with the opposite political spectrum. Its a shame she is actually the only politics content creator I followed for some time when I arrived at hive.

Interesting concept, and a politics front end would be quite a topical place.  For the tokens, I'd see what LeoFinance is cooking up, I think a proper decentralized token creation system may be coming.  @disregardfiat is also working on this area, as alternatives to Hive Engine.

@nealmcspadden has some experience with trying to start up a politics front end, just prior to the STEEM/HIVE wars and fork.  @themarkymark and @whatsup were involved in that project also, could have some insights for you.

Very interesting, but with our society being so divided I am afraid this will not end in exchanging factual arguments like you indicated, but soon in blind hate. As you can see in the Twitter echo chambers there is no reasoning anymore, no justifications whatsoever. It appears that brainwashed puppets just dislike anything what the others say, regardless if it is logic or just common sense. E.g. you are against a 15km radius of your personal prison cell, because there is no scientific reasoning and also unfair for people on the land vs. city dwellers? Then you must be a Nazi with a tinfoilhat, a Covidiot, you name it. Or racism. We all agree that racism is bad, but for some ~~morons~~ people only racism against PoC is bad and racism against White is not even possible!

Here on Hive there is at least in some cases a polite discussion of people with diametral views. With introducing a "warzone" and deliberate downvotes this could soon turn into a "pay to win" of political views. But not the one with more Tokens should be the winner of politicl discussions!

Oh yeah, I forgot to mention that I expect certain groups like Anarcho Capitalism/Libertarianism to be overrun, while I see many right-wingers hating the label right-wing because too many folks just associate Nazi with it.

I think hate is just a natural part in discussions and I want people to give people the possibility to let some Steam off in a regulated manner. Even War has it rules, constantly disregarding those rules is more of a modern age thing that I would really want to avoid or at least have punished ---> see the Total War idea

My personal political opinions are not even radical, I mainly want the Communities/Cities to be more powerful than larger overarching structures. But I am very tolerant to a point where I tolerate the intolerant, you could build a white ethno-state for all I care as long as you keep it in your Community/Region. 

I am not sure how I will keep the balance so that not just everyone becomes an Anarcho Capitalist to make a quick buck in upvotes. I mean I just joined Leo and I am guessing 99% of the Lions would join that camp.

I have had the idea of just making me King of the community because atm I think Monarchy is a really undervalued form to manage things. I will call my new King Account Tobias Lionheart and I will back it with my Silver - die Kronjuwelen. Not sure where I am going with this... but any idea on how to balance the communities and wars is welcome.
