This is what [Open Source University](https://os.university), @opensourceuni, plans to accomplish by creating a "Learning and Development" marketplace that connects people, businesses, and schools. The aim is to improve and simplify the hiring process by validating credentials in an Ethereum Blockchain ledger, and letting employers search for a candidate who is perfectly qualified to fill a given position. This could revolutionize the way employment works. By cutting out the "middle-man", and letting businesses reach out directly to skilled employees, OS University could save employers thousands of dollars in listing fees on job websites. It could also greatly help someone advance their career as they improve their skills and earn new academic achievements. The whole system will be tied to a new Ethereum Token to fund the project and allow an exchange of value between academia, businesses, and people.

## "EDU tokens are the fuel of the platform" - [OSUni](https://os.university)
The team behind OS University are getting ready to start the ICO for their EDU token. This will initially serve to fund the project and see it through to an end product. It seems the token may also be a way for learners to pay for their courses, offering a crypto-for-knowledge trade that I myself am pretty excited about. The token will be sold in multiple rounds, the earliest providing the best ROI. Only 34.8 million tokens will be distributed, and they will be tradable just like any other ERC20 token. OS University could revolutionize the way we develop our education and careers. We see blockchain technology being used in new ways every day, changing the world for the better in most instances. Using it for education is definitely one of those cases, and certainly something I can get behind.
