Setting Some Hive and LeoFinance Goals for 2021 
Well I'm not sure about you, but I'm certainly looking forward to putting 2020 in the rear view mirror! I think it's safe to assume that just about all of us were affected by 2020 in one way or another. With just a few days of 2020 left I thought it would be fun to write down some goals pertaining to LeoFinance and HIVE for 2021

I think one of the best things that happened in 2020 is we left Steemit Inc and the STEEM blockchain for HIVE! This reignited my spark for this blockchain and I became much more active on the HIVE blockchain than I ever was on STEEM. Reading some of @jongolson inpiring posts about setting HIVE goals I set a goal of reaching 3K HivePower by the end of the year. At the time I think I was around 900 HP. 

He wrote some great articles about the importance of setting goals on the Hive blockchain and reaching them. I'm really happy I took the advice  and I'm happy to announce that I will most definitely hit that goal by Midnight 12/31/2020 YaY me! 3K HivePower and growing!

For 2021 I'm planning on focusing a lot of my attention on the HIVE blockchain. I have several different reasons for this. One of the things that truly sickened me about 2020 was the blatant censorship and suppression of information from platforms like Facebook and Twitter. I just can't abide political censorship and take offense that social media now thinks I'm not smart enough to discern information on my own. I don't want a ministry of truth telling me what is or isn't correct. I'm capable of doing my own research and coming to my own conclusions. This is the main reason I'm walking away from mainstream social media in 2021.

As far as social media accounts that aren't crypto related I'm down to Twitter. I'll still post there from time to time, but I plan on getting more involved and focusing more on LeoFinance for crypto related content. I'll use my Twitter account secondary, and continue to promote HIVE and LEO to my 40K followers on there. I also plan on getting more personal and posting more content to Peakd in 2021.

My HivePower goals for 2021 will be hitting Dolphin status. I believe that is 5K HP and I'm not sure how many Leo I need for Dolphin status, but I'd like to get both accounts to Dolphin.  So my goal is at least 2K Hive earned from posting rewards and trading. 

In order to hit these goals I'm planning on posting at least 3 to 4 posts per week on Peakd, and 2 to 3 crypto related posts to LeoFinance. I also plan on doing a lot more commenting and spending much more time on the Peakd and LeoFinance platforms. 

I never really set commenting goals because I think commenting needs to be organic. You really can't force comments. You either have something to say or you don't. I will be commenting more on both platforms however. 

To replace the amount of time I spend on Twitter I'll be posting to @dbuzz a lot more. dbuzz will be used for crypto related news links and I think I may return to doing a weekly crypto related newsletter on LeoFinance going over all the important crypto related headlines for the week. I also post my daily Splinterlands quest rewards to dbuzz. 

So for 2021 I'm planning on writing a lot more crypto related content on LeoFinance. I'll be posting more personal stuff to my Peakd blog. Tweeting or buzzing on Dbuzz. I also want to start posting more guitar related stuff to the Guitar community. The overall goal for HivePower and LeoPower is to build my accounts to Dolphin status by utilizing trading gains and posting rewards! 

I'm pretty excited to usher in 2021! Looking forward to sharing the year ahead with you all on the Hive blockchain and LeoFinance. Here's to a happy, healthy and prosperous 2021 for us all!

This is so true. Sometimes the post is written so well or so bad, that comments are futile.

So cool that you decide to go hard on Hive things and yeah, it is good to have one mainstream account like Twitter where you'll spend more time talking about Hive related stuff anyways. 

I reached Hive power dolphin recently and I think it is around 5300Hive power, while for Leo, it is around 700Leo power.

Setting goals is a great idea. I had a 20K hive, 1 btc and 1k Leo goal for this year. I’m going to hit the Leo goal and I’m just tempted to buy my hive goal. As for the btc goal I feel way short as the price skyrocketed.

Nice crypto goals for sure. I need to figure out some trading goals for myself for 2021. That BTC price got away from a lot of us with a quickness 😀

I wouldn't mind throwing a little money at HIVE either around 12 cent range or below. I don't think we'll see these prices forever in this range. I bought a bunch below 13 cents in my trading account.

Well my friend, we share similar goals.

And I found very interesting the amount of publications that you will do per week, it is a good schedule, since you do not get so tired and you have a fresher mind, I will also encourage myself to try to establish a schedule like that for 2021.

I try not to schedule stuff, but I do try and reach a certain number of posts each week. It's never set in stone though. If I don't feel like posting or have nothing to post, I try not to force it. Setting a posting goal is helpful though. I've also found that finding some niche weeklies help like #MusicMonday or #BeerSaturday. If you can find a few weekly posting topics, you only have to brainstorm 2 or 3 new topics each week. That can save you a little time and energy too.

i think for dolpin in hive you need 5500 and in leo to be dolphin or puma as they say around 931 leo and for lion 9310 or something like that :P

It's always great to set goals mate,it keeps you motivated - if you want to see what amounts you need for dolphin in Hive and Leo, I did a post a couple of days ago,the numbers will have changed a bit since but it's about 5220 HP for Hive and 920 LP for LEO but the jury is still out on that. 

With your user name too, BTC dolphin is about 220 BTC, should be easy enough right? 😂

Those are some good goals and I hope you achieve them.

Dolphin is actually 10 million vests. You are on 5.7 according to [HiveBuzz](http://hivebuzz.me/@the-bitcoin-dood). 

Of course all posts through Leo and dbuzz will also appear on peakd, but I don't think you will be over-doing it.

Do you have any figures on how many of your Twitter followers are active? It would be great to have more of them join Hive. On Leofinance they can create an account using their Twitter account and should get in straight away. If someone desperately needs some delegation then let me know.

I hope 2021 will be a year of growth for Hive. A lot of the dapps are developing fast. Leo and 3speak could be huge and there may be airdrops to be had.

I really don't. I signed up for an app though that analyzed how many were bots and I was happy to discover that it was like a 95% human ranking. 

It seems I tend to interact with the same 30 or 40 people out of that 40K and wondered how many are active accounts. I really wish more people from CT would take a bigger interest in HIVE, I really don't know what their hesitation is outside of traffic. If nobody takes the first step though, how do we ever grow past Twitter? 

I'm pretty optimistic about a strong HIVE 2021 too! Happy New Year!
