Originally, the area was detected by the Mars Context Camera, scientists believe that the clashes took place between 2008 and 2014. After 2016 camera recorded images from HiRISE, experts have found the true cause of impact.</p> <p>In the picture are two large craters and other 30 small craters, revealing that a meteorite entered the planet's atmosphere and pieces of rock collapsed area. It would have covered about 36% of the surface of Mars with a water mass corresponding to a volume of 124 cubic kilometers.</p> <p>Oversea there must be a series of large lakes, mostly formed inside impact craters. that's pretty much the only way to do it. Mars lacks a magnetic field to protect from high and ultra high energy particles so basically the only way we could live there for any extended amount of time is underground. most likely inside of old lava tubes.
