<h3><strong>Some images were showing and not others - previously they were all showing. &nbsp;</strong></h3>
<p>Later around 2am I found out that for some people <strong>none of the images</strong> were showing - thanks to @justtryme90 for notifying me about it.</p>
<p><strong>This seems to be happening with multiple posts and using different image hosts too.&nbsp;</strong></p>
<p>It does not appear to be a hosting issue. &nbsp;I have checked multiple posts which all seem to be having the issue and not all of them are using the same host plus the hosting sites are up without errors.</p>
<p>I have tested this with my own image host SteemImg, and also - Imgsafe, Imgur and Photobucket as below.</p>
<p><em><strong>The fact that all those image hosting sites are up and functional, combined with this suggests to me that it is a Steemit issue.</strong></em></p>
<p><strong>Further the actual direct links when removed from Steemit do actually work. &nbsp;See the example below:</strong></p>

<h3><em><strong>Anyway.</strong></em> &nbsp;For the time being rather than trying in vain to keep switching hosts around I have edited my post to add direct working links to the images. &nbsp;They still don't show in the posts but people can look at them after clicking.</h3>
<h1>The TLDR - wait until the problem is resolved before changing your image host/links because it won't make any difference and you will just waste your time.</h1>

I think that is due to browser caching.  If you try any of the posts with a fresh clean browser the images don't show up or they take so long to show up that the browser gives up.

I thought so too after looking at a few more of mine and only the latest works but I didn't want to start clearing cache at mid-morning. Hope this issue is fixed soon. Previously,  I provide like to selective images of my post. May have to consider providing link to all images.

Only just saw this thread... The problem is definately with the image proxy server, it cuts the connection at 31.75kb . Images smaller then that will work, and progressive loading jpg's *sort of* work but look bad. Hope it gets fixed soon

Thanks for the info.  It will at least give a workaround for people who aren't doing image posts so that will help.  For those of us with photography or art posts it is too small a file size to be viable without heavy compression or size reduction.  

Also we would have to go back through our posts and resize every single image, re-upload them and change all the links.  If you only have the odd image in a mainly text post it is not a lot of work but for a post with 10 images it is a lot to do.

Lets hope we get a fix soon.

I didn't know the issue at first. I just tried to correct many times in an hour. As a result, I reduced the size of the pictures, Those were displayed as usual. It was a tired work :)

This proves the issue isnt the hosts but a steemit issue with pictures larger then the frame showing the post :)
Edit: Pictures smaller then 37.5 KB will work

yeah I chose a different image with a fresh post on the issue. You don't have to shrink it that much just smaller then the frame.

The picturesare now showing on steemit, But for me any pictures i want to copy on the internet the copy thing wont even come up! At all! I tried  to get a steemit photo and i cant, so itried other photos from google and the copy thing with the 3 dots wont even come up! Its weird! Any ideas! ? Thanks

Seems to relate to file size.  For primarily written posts you can use images that are smaller than 375K but obviously that is not viable for posts depicting visual art as the quality and size would be terrible.

Thanks yes.  It seems to relate to the file size.  Obviously for photography posts it isn't viable to limit your files to 37K in size as they would have to be tiny or compressed to the point of having abysmal quality.
