So I have been on Steemit for just a couple of days and honestly I joined to see if I can make some money with it (admit it, you did too :P). But I started reading and although the front page is mostly tits and travel I am seeing something else creep up through the cracks. It is called helping people out.

Brook is not the only one. I have seen many stories here where people from third world countries. @infovore is one example where he went from $1 per day to earning $40,000 on steemit. Those are just two stories. I am seeing people pleding donations and changing peoples lives for the better. I think that steemit now has about 30k+ users. Can you imagine it having 3,000,000 users? Can you imagine that power to change the world? Money and wealth are being distributed in a wrong way. The minority shouldn't have the majority of money... This place has shown me that even homeless people can earn a few thousand dollars in a day. 

So I would really like to tip my hat to @dan @ned (if I understand it correctly you guys are the creators, right?) for coming up with this platform and concept. I think that if it continues on this path it can literally change the world. And I know that I will stay here for more then just the money making part. I will try to help change the world (pshhhh, this is something I was planning to do since I was a kid, just don't tell anyone ;) ). You can help too! Let us all make the world a better place!
