Hi everyone! We’re going to bring you today to Bohol, a province in the Philippines that is famous for its chocolate hills and tarsiers. 

But guess what, the place is more than just that. Let us join Jessa in her quest to discover other mesmerizing attractions this place has to offer. We hope that by the end of this blog, we would have been of help to you in considering to visit this place just a few hours away from our hometown Cebu.

### THE TOUR PACKAGE ###

Jessa and her boyfriend bought a BOHOL TOUR PACKAGE worth PHP 4,100.00 each (PHP 8,200.00 for the two of them). Inclusions for the package are room accommodation for two nights with free breakfast, a driver to drive you around, fuel, all entrance fees, tour around Panglao, and Lunch Buffet during the countryside tour.


#### DAY 1: COUTRYSIDE TOUR ####

Undeniably the most famous tourist destination in Bohol - The Chocolate Hills.

We know what you're thinking, but let us set this straight right away, they're not made of chocolate hahaha. They're called like that because of their color. The best time to see this color is during summer or dry months where the green grass covering the hills turns brown. This 50 square km - natural geological attraction is composed of 1,200+ hills. Wooow! If you're in Bohol, you'll really be bound to visit this one.

The Sipatan Twin Hanging Bridge will literally take your breath away. Looking down might make you dizzy, so be careful. There is an official photographer there in which you can have your picture taken and developed for around P120 or $2. We bought our "required in every vacation" souvenirs there because it is much cheaper to buy the items here than in other places we've visited so far.

Next site is full of historical symbol for Filipinos. The blood compact site is a famous monument in Bohol showing the friendship made by the Spanish explorer, Miguel López de Legazpi and the Bohol chieftain, Datu Sikatuna. More famous for the term "Sandugo", this is said to be the first friendship treaty made between Spaniards and Filipinos in 1565.

Together with the Butterfly Garden, the Xzootic Animal Park is located at Agape Loay, Loboc which hosts a lot of butterflies and animals such as big Burmese pythons and eagle. The big snakes just crawls freely inside the park. Yikes!

Next is this ship haus located in Batuan. The owner of this tourist attraction is a seaman. Inside this ship-like structure lies a nautical interior where you'll really feel like you're in a ship. Outfits are also available for picture taking to complete the experience.

This cruise is one of the most anticipated ones in our package. You'll ride a big boat which is full of tourists, especially foreigners. We ate so many yummy foods on their lunch buffet of local foods. Eating while the floating restaurant is moving and the sceneries are indeed mesmerizing to see, what a life! Fresh air, good food, miniature falls, nature, and an acoustic band to play songs for you (you can request a song too for them to play). At the end of the cruise, there were people wearing cultural outfits and guitars that welcomed us with local songs; Some of them also did "tinikling" and other native dances that you can surely make you dance along together with them. 😍

This might not be the first time you've seen this. A lot of our friends going to Bohol post pictures in this area. We can't blame them 'cause this is indeed a very nice place to be, an IG-worthy background. What are those big trees, Jessa? These are Mahogany Trees which has roots that are pleasing to the eyes and the height of the trees are almost similar to each other.

We went to two churches in this trip. First on our list is the Baclayon Church. This church is said to be the oldest church in Bohol built in 1596. There is this controversial formation of a human face said to be of St. Pio's, outside of the church’s walls. You can check it out if you're intrigued with this. 

Jessa tried a delicacy called Broas at the back of the church and it eventually became her favorite in the trip. More details to follow. 😉

Make way for the most famous animal in the province! Tarsiers are our nocturnal friends with big eyes, small body, and long-tailed primates. They easily get stressed and are known to commit suicide if they hear loud noises, see blinding lights, or handled improperly; these cause them too much stress. The cute little creatures are really sensitive that's why tourists are advised not to touch them or if they want to take a pic of the tarsiers, they should turn off the flash.
