Navigating the Challenges of Making a Living as a Blogger on the Hive Blockchain

As someone who has been trying to make a living as a blogger and vlogger on the Hive blockchain, I can attest that it is no easy feat. The blockchain and crypto space is highly competitive, and there are many factors that can make it difficult to monetize your content and earn a sustainable income.

As part of this effort, I have been focusing on developing my writing skills. This includes practicing writing regularly, studying the work of successful bloggers and writers, taking online writing courses and workshops, and seeking feedback from others in the community. I also read a lot, which allows me to expose myself to various styles and genres, to understand what works and what doesn't.

Improving my writing skills not only helps me to create more engaging and informative content but also allows me to better monetize my blog. High-quality content can attract a larger audience and increase the potential for earning rewards through curation and token-based platforms. Adding in some affiliate marketing links helps too. 

But, it has been a bit of a struggle lately to get grab the attention of the community and I want to talk a bit about how I am navigating those issues. 

## The State of the Hive Ecosystem

One of the biggest challenges for bloggers on the Hive blockchain is the current state of the ecosystem. With the recent bear market and the ongoing challenges facing the crypto industry as a whole, many users are facing decreased earnings and a lack of engagement. This can make it difficult to grow your audience and monetize your content.

One major issue is the volatility of the crypto market, which can cause fluctuations in the value of the Hive token. When the value of the token decreases, the rewards earned by bloggers through curation and content creation also decrease. This can make it harder for bloggers to monetize their content and make a sustainable income. Additionally, the bear market can lead to a decrease in overall engagement on the blockchain, as users may be less likely to participate in the ecosystem. This can further decrease the potential for bloggers to earn rewards and grow their audience.

## Finding Trouble Standing Out

Another challenge is standing out in a crowded field. There are many bloggers on the Hive blockchain, and it can be hard to find your niche and build a loyal following. However, by focusing on specific topics or areas of interest, it can be easier to build a community and gain visibility. It takes a lot of research, promotion, and good content to get it right, but with hard work, you can find your niche.

This is why I am trying to keep my subjects of interest separate. For instance, most of my crypto market news and education talk happens on @coinlogic.online. My music content is posted on @groove-logic and @blocktunes, and finally my entrepreneurial content is being posted through @hivehustlers. This gives me a way to compartmentalize my content and build followings around those subjects, but it's hard at times to get followings on newer accounts. I am finding though the more consistent the faster I am seeing growth. This is why you are now seeing me produce content like a madman. I mean, what else do I have to do but try and build these businesses?

## Expanding My Opportunities

In addition to blogging on the Hive blockchain, I am always on the lookout for better freelance opportunities. As a writer, I am well aware of the importance of diversifying your income streams. I've been exploring different ways to monetize my skills and as a result, I have been considering putting myself out there on Fiverr, an online marketplace that allows freelancers to offer their services to clients around the world. 

Fiverr can be a great way to expand your reach and connect with potential clients in a variety of industries. By using Fiverr as an additional income stream, you can help to stabilize your overall earning potential. I've been evaluating my skills, researching the market and thinking about the best way to put out an attractive profile and offer, while still keeping it aligned with my blogging content.

In addition to blogging, I have also been working on looking for opportunities as a WordPress developer. WordPress is a popular content management system (CMS) used by many websites and blogs. As a developer, I can use my skills to customize and improve the functionality of WordPress-based sites, which can open up additional opportunities for monetization like connecting sites with the Hive blockchain and getting back into some good ole affiliate marketing through Amazon and some other outlets. 


## Conclusion

Making a living as a blogger on the Hive blockchain is not easy, but it is possible. It takes hard work, dedication, and the ability to adapt to the changing landscape of the ecosystem. But with the right strategy, focus on building a loyal audience, while keeping an open mind on other opportunities, it can be a rewarding experience that allows you to make a living doing what you love. 

I know for me, Hive is my blockchain home. I have enjoyed creating all of these different projects as it has shown me different things that interest me, that I never would have thought of before. So I am just trying to be persistent, consistent and keep learning.

Really excited to be able to smoke holes with you and hopefully we can sit down and blaze again sometime soon.

Thanks buddy. Hivelist is pretty much a loss at this point although we are still up and running, but trying to adjust focus back to digital products and NFTs for that because the print on demand and physical items have been a hard sell. Supply chains and inflation has jacked the costs up on everything that we aren't making money.  

Main focus is shifting to music and markets with @blocktunes and @coinlogic.online.

Gotta keep going because this is what I have right now, lol. Even food delivery has been a loss lately. Burning more gas and wear on the van than earning.
