Have original content posted first on Hive then cross post on another social media site, or have original content posted on other social media site then cross post on Hive which method brings value to the blockchain more? or it doesn't matter really matter.

The site it is posted first generally gains the most advantage, this is due to how search engine optimization works, but when you post on other sites that have more authority, they can sometimes steal that advantage.  Linking to the original (on Hive for example) will help a lot.

In general, search engines do not like duplicate content.

Why do you masquerade downvoting people you dislike or have a disagreement as if you were downvoting based on content?

Take my 2 hour livestream that you took downvoted 1+ HPB 1 post of what was essentially a little over 2 HBD total.

Does it make you feel bigger as a man to enact punitive downvotes that would ensure my 2 hrs+ (considering prep time) content would receive 1 HBD less because you have a problem with me as a person?

Sheppard, an interesting one. We never found out his real past in the movie or show (from memory, I will have to go back and watch it again). I had just recently found out that there is a comic book series!

Anyway, I am still waiting for the day that someone puts out a game that gets the Firefly universe and the idea running a ship like that.

I don’t know much about palnet but I am generally not a fan of general tribes and communities I don’t see a point.  I rather see niche communities but we lack the user base to go wide. I use it because why not. 

That being said I did hear they are going to try to do some things to get more popular.

I know you have great programming skills. Do you think you have sufficient skills to build a Hive Browser, which can also serve as a Hive dApps Hub or dApp Store? If not solo, do you think you could gather a team and build something like this. If not again, what kind of App would you be interested to build on top of Hive if you had time and resources for it. Note: Apple's App Store does not approve (d)app browsers anymore. Because they contain downloadable code Apple can not verify (read: which can change - Trust Wallet already removed its dapp browser on iOS). [App Store review guidelines relevant rule](https://developer.apple.com/app-store/review/guidelines/#third-party-software) 

Note 2: Android 11 also started finally blocking in-app code downloads.

I love me a good dapp browser and would love Hive Wallet to grow but those are arguably justifiable decisions both platforms are making. A lot more code gets downloaded than is often good for the user. Shallow position? Yes. Justifiable? If you're on iOS you probably don't get updated, nor care, about all new malware issues in Android. Yes, my thoughts exactly. At some point someone or some project will emerge as a decentralized Apps Store. I even think we will have decentralized systems based devices in the future, sort of an open source for hardware like open source software.

I am not really a great programmer, it's merely something I do as I avoid doing something I can't get a computer to do for me.  I don't spend enough time on it to actually become great.  

I could probably build a browser though if I put my time into it.  A hub or store could be as simple as a web page, not sure why it would need a browser and I would be very skeptical about entering my keys near someone else's browser that isn't trusted.

I like to build middleware, like automation to make things better and easier.
I am also working on some games for Hive.

If it is an open source Hive browser it can be trusted with peer review. I think it can be powerful for Hive economy and user adoption as we can integrate protocol features into it like rewarding content consumers across all Hive ecosystem, creating a more decentralized network of browsers, etc. Learning from projects like Brave and Nimiq, etc. Creating decentralized Apps store as an alternative to Apple and Google stores.

One more question. What are your thoughts about removing HBD haircut based on supply ratio. Why not have 1 HBD be worth $1 worth of Hive. Why have 3 day average, why not just use current prices? I think that could be powerful too for Hive. For some reason we are scared of it.

It's really simple, it was just what I was using on Hive at the time.

How I got there though started on Steem. When I got on Steem I didn't really have any specific profile, I can't even remember what I used but I would frequently post Firefly gifs.

Someone made me a cover image and I switched to a Firefly theme profile. I used this for as long as I can remember until Justin Sun came along and Roy kept calling me Marty instead of Marky. At the time I switched my avatar and cover image to be Marty from Back to the Future.

When I moved to Hive, I wanted to come up with a different theme. I wasn't too committed to anything and just did a quick search for something interesting and chose a Punisher theme.

I thought this was "good enough" for the time. This is about when I created a new Twitter account for Hive and used the same Avatar to match.

I was contacted by someone saying they thought my avatar was too "scary" for someone in my position. I made a joke saying I could change it to a bunny. Being the jokester I am, I went ahead and changed it to the least scary thing I could, a rainbow fence cover image and a bunny avatar. This happened to be in line with Easter timeframe, so I left it for a while until I felt it was not funny anymore and went back to Firefly as I already had it made up and it was ready to go.

At some point I was planning on doing something different, but there just hasn't been any motivation.

I hate Twitter with a passion, but I am a big advocate for using Twitter as it is an extremely effective tool and would be silly not to take advantage of it.  I try to use it often as it helps get more people outside of Hive looking in.

We have a bunch of gamers on Hive nowadays, many of them seems to upload a gameplay video to YouTube and share the link on Hive. Others are live-streaming and post a link to Twitch. Some are sharing highlights of their gameplays etc. (Myself included).

Some would say that it requires minimal effort for a post with nothing but a video link and others understand how much time & effort it takes to create a highlight video for instance..

What do **you** think would be the best approach for gamers in general?

I understand that it's a rather big question, so let's say that it comes down to building an audience and generating rewards at the same time. How do you think one should do it?

Live streaming games has a huge audience and is a massive market.  Unfortunately Hive doesn't have a good live streaming service that can compete with other options.  We have Vimm but without recordings it doesn't make for a good post.

I stream games from time to time and post them on Hive, I think it is great content for those who are interested in it, especially potential non-Hive users.

That being said, I have seen many share micro videos just to put out a post, and it isn't very valuable to Hive.

When Dlive was around, I would easily have 10-30 people watching my stream (all Steem users) and it was amazing.  It was very attractive to stream directly to Steem via Dlive because it worked as good as Twitch, almost guaranteed to get some viewers (good luck on Twitch/YouTube unless you stream daily for years).

If they are really putting in effort into their stream (narrating, really playing, engaging with people that join) I don't see a problem with it.  We had a few really good streamers like @realseb that we lost that produced great streaming content.

Unfortunately we don't have enough users to have every niche (and ultimately communities) be popular and thriving. 

People produce content in different ways, and live streaming is a very valid and popular form of content, but like all content on Hive, many put minimal effort into it and most of it is never consumed.

What do you think would be the best:
Have a new "Dlive" on Hive **or** use YouTube/Twitch etc, in an attempt to draw in more people?

I mean, the Dlive days were great. Not only could you stream & use your VODs, you had a chance to get decent sized upvotes on your content as well.. +the viewers!

But was Dlive something that actually benefitted Steem during those "glory" days, and do you think "Dlive" on Hive would be beneficial for Hive in general?

Will you move your autovote to, at least, minimum 5 minutes so that manual curators can have some incentive to curate manually (voting first) and to give them a bit of time to engage on the post?

If I may ask another question... Do you think manual curation is a dying art? Is that something that is still respected on our blockchain?

No, everyone else is doing it.  I'm actually one of the few actually giving out a vote worth a damn ($3-$5+).  Most can give big votes but only choose to give out a couple cents as it is purely for curation rewards and not for actually supporting people. 

I don’t think it is dead but as long as we are not onboarding new authors on a regular basis there really isn’t a whole lot to manually curate. 

It is very respected but I can’t justify spending 4-12 hours reading posts daily where most are minimum effort and highly rewarded.  I choose to support people I feel produce good content and/or putting in effort. If either change, I adjust my votes. This allows me to focus on other things as well. 

Not the answer I suspect you are looking for a but it is honest.

I tried ATOM and found it very slow and clunky.
I was a big fan of Sublime Text and was disappointed how the company was abandoning it and making false promises.
Once I started to use VS Code and saw all the improvements, I was hooked.  It was better than anything I have tried.

I do have full Visual Studio which I used for mobile app development, I have tried PyCharms, and some other editors.
