Brave is creating a new DEX aggregator to compete with current crypto wallets

Earlier this week Brave released it's [2.0 roadmap](https://brave.com/bat-roadmap-2-0/).  In this roadmap talks about creating a new decentralized exchange aggregator.

**What does this mean for the average Brave user?**
A lot of new sinks for the BAT token and easier access to DeFi protocols via the Brave Browser.

Right now the main use of BAT is to buy ads in the Brave browser.  A large portion of these rewards go back to the users watching those ads.  Something that has made Brave really popular in the community.  Even Brave uses their own system to buy ads. 

Brave will be offering discount with their DEX services to users who pay using BAT.

According to Kinsta.com, Brave has 0.05% of the current browser market with a lot of room to grow.  Even with this tiny market share it still has 8 million daily active users.  Brave mentions in their roadmap that they expect to reach 17 million daily active users by the end of 2021.

Many users are moving away from Google Chrome and Microsoft Edge to Brave in favor of security.  In fact in the last 12 months the Brave userbase has grown over 125%.

BAT token has been doing really well and is trading at over $0.56 right now.  With sinks, it can potentially do a lot better.
 

### What is a DEX aggregator?

A DEX aggregator allows a user to search multiple exchanges to find the most attractive price.  

By integrating this into Brave, more users will be exposed to and participate in DeFi and crypto in general.  Brave already offers fully compatible MetaMask integration natively in the browser making it easier for users to get exposed to crypto.

Interesting! Been using Brave since it first released and it's far better than any other browser in my opinion. Plus the rewards have been stacking for years!

So we are all watching ads and paying each other to watch our ads so we can watch and buy more ads. Yay? I'm not sure what makes these BATs "cryptos" at all. Seems they're more like a score in a video game. I've got 3300, guys!!

The main issue I have with Brave is it requires you to verify your phone number, and the address where you sleep at night, and take photos of your facial structure, retinas, and other biometric data. You can browse with some degree of privacy, but if you want BATs, or to use the wallet, or anything else, you have to verify your identity in many ways. It's really the opposite of privacy. It's scary so many people are willing to attach their digital ID to their internet usage. 

If Brave moves back in the direction of privacy, I'll give it another look!

No, Coke is spending $1M for example to buy ads in Brave, the 8M daily active users get 70% of that.

That is not Brave, that is Uphold, and they only ask for your Drivers License and Social, pretty much the same as every exchange complying with laws.

Again, not Brave, Uphold, the browser is more secure than all the rest, if you choose to watch ads and receive Bat you have to KYC to take it out, but you don't have to look at ads and earn Bat, that is only one of the many advantages of Brave.

Well, okay, "Uphold" then. Which is Brave, as far as the user is concerned. It's the Brave wallet, which they call Uphold. Either way, I'm not okay with it basically being the opposite of privacy. There are enough privacy issues out there without purposely blowing yourself out of the water like that, but people are free to do so if they want.

I use Microsoft edge now , but you are saying Brave has better security? My hubby uses Brave, but I never really understood why except for earning tokens. Better security is always welcome with me.

I very much love teh Brave. I use it as my primary browser, and have for quite some time. It's fun to know I'm making a tiny bit of money while I type this comment just because I use a better browser... I look forward to the items on the roadmap coming to fruition. Brave is probably one of the best projects in all of crypto backed with a solid team and founder. I have loved using it for the majority of my browsing... The caching can be a bit of a pain with building websites, but overall it's the best browser experience out there. I actually have one of the limited edittion copper coins that Sampson had minted a couple of years ago. And yeah at that small of a hold in the market, they have a TON of room to grow! All of my websites are Brave verified websites that serve up Brave ads!
