You are right.. Life without goals is lije empty bottle and useless obviously.. Choose your goals and then focud ll take you to ultimate success

time management, setting, and sticking to a goal seems to be the issues that many people have. It is almost like throwing darts blindfolded. They know the board is there but they fail to hit it because they lack focus. These people will continue to do the same mistakes hoping for a different outcome. They are spinning their wheels without getting the exercise. Those that have a plan seem to be on a fast track and reach their goals with little resistance.

I totally agree with the idea, but personally I've been finding that I am more interested in figuring our how to optimize my work flow than actually do the work that I have been optimizing to accomplish. Funny how that works.

Doing the ryt thing at the right time.......

That's one of the things that really burns my brain on a daily bases. People not willing to spend a bit of time/energy in order to save exponentially in the future.

I'm a researcher, you wouldn't believe how many of my peers flat out refuse to learn basic things that would make their lives easier and their time spend more productive.  And I'm not talking about old farts that will retire in a year or two, but people younger than me spending numerous hours daily on repetitive tasks that can be automated in a matter of minutes.
Just the other day I almost had an aneurysm watching one of my colleges opening one of our web-pages using this procedure.
1. using the mouse: click on start, click on the browser - while the same browser is actually the active window
2. typing "http://www.google.com" into address bar - homepage is set on some kind of antivirus page
3. typing "http://www.ourservice.ourdomain" into Google search bar
4. selecting our service from search results because of a typo 

She did this 5 times in 10 minutes.
And, she probably does that a 100 times a day.

The horror!

Sometimes you just need someone with outside perspective to point out how more efficiency you would be if you just took the hour or so to work out how to do things better. I have never been great with hiring friends so I tend not to. Far too many have a mindset of “how dare you to treat me like that I thought we were friends.” Well you’re fired for mistreating our friendship like a paycheck then.”

I find myself from time to time having to stop and create better organization or least spend the time in putting things back to where they should be in the first place. 

I do a fair amount of looking into options of things trying determining what are possible outcomes. Life becomes such a trade-off in opportunity cost it would be crazy not to spend a couple of minutes and try to work it out. Do things happen as expect—heck no! If a fraction of them did it was a good day. Still worth the time however just too many variables sometimes to think and plan for everything.

My biggest issue has always been waiting around and allowing things the time it needs. I hate being ideal and I hate even more having to wait on the time of all things to be a factor. Only so much planning and effort one can put in themselves before they just have to wait for the outcome and make adjustments as needed down the road.

An adage says, "Time waits for no one". I believe that, the time moves fast in the world and people will never take things for granted. We are so conscious of the time factor in the world of today. We want to achieve and be successful. We have to do our work within a specified time frame. We don't want to disappoint our client.
This makes the world a place where technological innovation matters most. It turned many of us into successful people. Nobody will underestimate the importance of organisational productivity and personal life.
I think, people should avoid the unnecessary things that will give them stress. Personally, I have to avoid those situations that will bring stress. I may write articles for many hours, but I will rely on my area of interest and specialisation. I believe you, that if I direct my activity towards my social media success, I must avoid stress and deal with performance.
It is a good habit to be productive at work.

You're right about having a clear goal and how it's much more easier to achieve something if you **really know** what you want. Often people know very clearly what they don't want but then they don't think about what they do want. 
In your example, your friend knew exactly that he doesn't want to work like that and he was stressed and busy. He probably thought that he wants to be quicker or to receive fewer tasks or extra hands. What he really wanted is an effective tool, which solved this problem for good.

I agree with this. For me the most important things are:

* Knowing your WHY
* Managing energy
* Correct mindset

I struggle most with the third, which impacts the second, but I am clear on my why.

My coach, John, once said he couldn't believe how well I manifested things (particularly despite what I just said). I think it was because I am usually clear on my *why*. It gets me through the struggle with the other two.

Some people spend so much time on useless things, they should invest their time into useful things like Steemit etc.

I see you're into tech, you might like privacy workshop.  

My outcome is to write about tech for people who don't have a background in it, to help them secure their devices, and understand the threats.  Also to document known threats, #1 is a comprehensive listing of why the biggest names in tech have demonstrated themselves to be evil.  

I also investigated steemit itself, I am hoping a witness chimes in with some answers to a few questions.  

Regarding your friend who resisted using ghost, it seems the tactic of thinking that he wasn't using was recognizing repetative chores in the stage where he is doing them.  If you ever get comfortable repeating the same task over and over, then you can get stuck in a really inefficient mode.  The third time you  do the same task, an alarm should go off in your head, 'POTENTIALFOR INNOVATION HERE BEEP BEEP.' 

If that alarm doesn't go off, well you could be in the salt mines for years before you realize how much of your life you wasted.

Yup it does help.....it is actually my elder brother ...he often does speak same word....he tells me ...if you want something to do ,do it until you dont achieve it....otherwise you are just wasting your time....#nostalgic....

This post came at a good time for me. I’ve fallen behind here because of internet and computer problems, as well as some day to day b.s. But since I’ve had time to get back online, it seems like I’m spinning my wheels and not getting anything accomplished. I guess I need to revisit my goals and how I plan to meet them.

Loved this post. From a filmmakers perspective, if I don't go into each day with an outcome in mind, it's usually turns into a complete waste of my time. There is simply too many tasks to manage and tackle, so if I don't know the objectives, things just tend to move "sideways" as opposed to be completed. 

One of my favorite quotes is "What gets measured gets managed." Particularly for this reason of know your outcome -- you always need a clear goal.

I also love how you apply that to every aspect of life. I have a hard time being present in the moment when I'm on tight deadlines, so keeping in mind the outcome of ANY situation is a great perspective to have and I'm going to try and apply it to all circumstances.

I think there's a balance to be struck. My wife's family has an expression they like to use: "If you want to see God laugh, make a plan." 

Not that making a plan is a bad idea. But you can spend weeks planning for every contingency of a situation, when in reality stumbling along the one path that works out might have been more efficient.

In cases where you just keep doing the same dumb thing over and over, I agree with you. There, you know there's a better way - and there's a lot less variables between *now* and *the goal*. 

But there are also cases where we'd be better served embracing serendipity and letting the universe surprise us.
