Financial Service giant MasterCard has announced plans to stiffen its footprint in Ireland by hiring 175 new technology developers at its facility in Leopardstown, Dublin. The company will hire software developers, blockchain experts and cloud infrastructure specialists, data scientists, analysts, project managers, information security experts and product designers.

Thanks to Ireland’s favorable government policies towards cryptocurrency, MasterCard’s decision to bolster their footprints in the country was prudent. According to Heather Humphreys, Ireland’s Minister for Business, Enterprise and Innovation, the country has turned into “a very attractive location for international fintech and payment companies.”
