Use this video to help people wrap their minds around policies based in principle to erode the power of the State! #TaxationIsTheft

In summary, the 3 practical policies are ending taxation, ending victimless crimes, and freeing the market.

https://youtu.be/ZppJ_BxnRFc

ENDING TAXATION

Taxation is the government’s primary tool for unethical control.

It is the idea that a small group of men can point guns and claim to own the bodies and properties of others without individual consent.

Because of this, the only way to undo the unethical threat of the State is to remove the power to tax completely and, instead, only permit voluntary and selective support of the government.

When the government must rely on voluntary support, like any business, they will have to prove value through transparency, or no one will want to support it.

The government will be unable to do more than what the people are voluntarily funding it for and, thus, activities that have little to do with providing value will not get funded.

If people can choose what department their money goes to, this will further help put reins on the government in signaling which actions are valued over which ones are not.

Any concerns about freeriding or the rich only benefitting should be assessed in a “compared to what” manner.

As it stands, the rich already pay the most in taxes and have the greatest power to hire lobbyists for influence.

Allowing opportunity for those with fewer means to choose what is done with their money without coercion is a drastic improvement over what is, and will result in far less bureaucratic waste than the mountains of tax regulations people have to comply with now.

As it stands, tax compliance costs the U.S. economy over 400 billion dollars annually.

The savings on tax compliance alone will exponentially grow the economy and make support of needed services reasonable, even for those of modest means.

ENDING VICTIMLESS CRIME LAWS

Victimless crime laws are laws which make someone a criminal for possessing property or participating in an activity that does not violate another’s body or property.

For example, drinking raw milk, collecting rainwater, or smoking marijuana are examples of victimless activities for which criminal laws have been passed to fine offenders and place them into a cage called “jail” for disobedience.

Victimless crime laws are unethical because they violate the sovereign right of an individual to be secure in their property, which includes the right of self-ownership and right to one’s home and physical possessions.

When the government is only focused on justice as relates to issues where one person has violated the body or physical property of another, there will no longer be perverse incentives to steal from others and violate their rights.

FREEING THE MARKET

Freeing the market is essential to creating opportunities for economic growth and replacement of government services.

What this means is that
the government must step out of the way of market innovation and allow people to create businesses without having to first seek permission.

While some are scared that this will lead to massive fraud and bad service, the opposite is true, and it is true for that very sentiment of concern just mentioned.

The fact that people are afraid to have a bad product or bad service is the very market demand for rating and review agencies. Stores which promote the fact that they test and vet their sold products will be the ones most attractive in the market.

In addition, when the government steps out of the way, independent review organizations will flourish and evaluate products and services to meet the market demands of reliability and safety.

Even with the government now, this is already a norm as people test and review all kinds of market products from using Google Reviews and Angie’s List, to reading independent tests like with Consumer Reports and Edmunds publications.

Think about your life and how you analyze your consumer choices. Can you think of the most trustworthy and clean store in your town? How about the most sketchy and run-down? Do you ever visit Yelp or look at Trip Advisor?
Probably.

In the same vein, the natural demand for safe and reliable goods and services will drive consumers to use those which have been sufficiently tested for market.

So the next time someone asks you, "What would it take to erode the State’s power?” you can tell them how.
