Another way is to simply just write the words, if you want without the pound sign. For example, instead of writing #censorship, you could write censorship. What you do is up to you and it may depend on your goals for these hashtags. But Google and other search engines do pick up all the words in posts and comments. So, in other words, every word works like a hashtag when you search for keywords via Google or Duck Duck Go, etc. The hashtags can be good if it helps readers find other posts that are using these tags.
