Aún recuerdo mis tiempos cuando jugaba Nintendo Wii con una consola de mi vecino, en esa época también estaban de moda juegos como Wii Sports y los increíbles e inolvidables Just Dance (debo admitir que aunque no sé bailar, siempre he sentido algún tipo de atracción por los Just Dance, es un juego muy cool para pasar buenos ratos con amigos o familiares), honestamente creo que la época donde los juegos de Wii eran lo mejor fue una de las mejores al hablar de videojuegos. 

Había una gran cantidad de juegos que fácilmente atraían la atención de los jugadores, pero, al ser una consola de Nintendo, obviamente había cierto mejor desarrollo por parte de los juegos creados por ellos (y no creo tener que explicar por qué), pero este desarrollo que destacaba respecto a las demás entregas no fue para nada malo, pues, personalmente cada título de Nintendo que pude jugar fue una maravilla, por ejemplo: el Mario Kart de la consola fue uno de los juegos más memorables que también tuvo, pero del que no disfruté tanto por la existencia del increíble **Super Smash Bros**, un juego que me permitía estar por horas jugándolo con mis primos y que disfruté muchísimo en esa época.

# Destrozar a tu rival mediante la masterización de tu personaje favorito

Creo que fue el aspecto más relevante que hizo que Super Smash se convirtiera en uno de los mejores juegos por los que íbamos 100% cuando queríamos jugar entre primos, la competencia es obviamente sana y común, así que Super Smash se convertía en nuestro juego preferido a la hora de matarnos a golpes. La idea principal de Super Smash (o al menos la que tuve en ese momento) fue convertirme en el mejor con mi personaje favorito, si lograba ser el mejor con mi personaje, no había por qué preocuparme.

Super Smash tenía una increíble cantidad de personajes, si mal no recuerdo, mientras avanzábamos en el modo historia, lográbamos desbloquear más personajes, algo estilo Mortal Kombat, pero para niños. No fui muy fan del modo historia, quiero decir, ni siquiera lo recuerdo bien jaja, sé que cada personaje tenía relevancia en la historia, pero no recuerdo muy bien en qué se basaba la trama de este juego (tampoco creo que haya sido un juego con una historia muy impactante).

La mayoría de mis personajes favoritos por algún motivo eran bastante dinámicos, personajes con bastante movilidad son mis favoritos ya que siento que pueden esquivar los ataques y alejarse de un combo enemigo de una forma bastante sencilla, siento que los personajes en Super Smash están balanceados como para que no hayan personajes que puedan realmente resaltar en comparación al resto, mientras que algunos compensan su falta de movilidad con combos que, si te enganchan, pueden aumentar muchísimo tu % y hacer que sea mucho más fácil sacarte de la arena, otros tienen una movilidad increíble que aunque no cuentan con combos tan devastadores, te permiten acertar una gran cantidad de golpes y poder esquivar el resto. 

Aunque, siempre hay una excepción a la regla, quiero decir, a pesar de tener cierta atracción por los campeones de movilidad, mi favorito era Lucario, no era uno que destacaba bastante por su movilidad, pero tenía una forma demasiado precisa para asestar sus ataques que hacían que cuando quería jugar una partida para ganar y estuviera yendo "all-in", Lucario fuera mi opción preferida.

# Formas de practicar bastante divertidas

En algunos juegos practicar es completamente necesario, esto es usualmente cuando los juegos son competitivos y debemos demostrar nuestra habilidad contra otras personas (por esto es que considero que la historia de Super Smash no era tan importante después de todo), por esto dedicaba bastante tiempo a la herramienta de práctica de Smash. Si mal no recuerdo, habían unos cuantos métodos de práctica, pero el que mejor recuerdo es el donde teníamos que pegarle a algo así como un saco de boxeo y descargar en él el mejor combo que podamos atinarle a alguien, esto era bastante divertido ya que era una sala cerrada por lo que no podíamos sacarlo de la arena y ver cómo rebotaba por toda la arena era una completa locura.

> Honestamente creo que tener una forma de practicar divertida es bastante cool, poder dedicarle tiempo a mejorar tus habilidades en el juego mientras juegas en solitario es algo a lo que no le prestan mucha atención los creadores de juego últimamente y algo bastante olvidado, por eso es que juegos como Geometry Dash me parecen bastante cool.

### Construyendo mapas customizados

Esto también era una locura, recuerdo haber creado una cantidad increíble de mapas con mis primos en donde podíamos pelear infinitamente sin sacar a los personajes de la arena, bueno, habían momentos donde por algunos bugs los personajes literalmente atravesaban las paredes del mapa, y eso lo hacía mucho más divertido XD

I still remember my times when I played Nintendo Wii with my neighbor's console, at that time games like Wii Sports and the incredible and unforgettable Just Dance were also in fashion (I must admit that although I can't dance, I have always felt some kind of attraction for Just Dance, it's a very cool game to spend good times with friends or family), honestly I think that the time where Wii games were the best was one of the best when talking about video games. 


There were a lot of games that easily attracted the attention of the players, but, being a Nintendo console, obviously there was a certain better development by the games created by them (and I don't think I have to explain why), but this development that stood out from the other releases was not bad at all, because, personally every Nintendo title I could play was a marvel, for example: Mario Kart on the console was one of the most memorable games it also had, but which I did not enjoy so much because of the existence of the incredible **Super Smash Bros**, a game that allowed me to stay for hours playing it with my cousins and that I enjoyed a lot at that time.

# Destroy your opponent by mastering your favorite character

I think it was the most relevant aspect that made Super Smash become one of the best games we went 100% for when we wanted to play between cousins, the competition is obviously healthy and common, so Super Smash became our favorite game when it came to beat each other to death. The main idea of Super Smash (or at least the one I had at the time) was to become the best with my favorite character, if I managed to be the best with my character, there was nothing to worry about.

Super Smash had an incredible amount of characters, if I remember correctly, as we progressed in the story mode, we managed to unlock more characters, something like Mortal Kombat, but for kids. I wasn't a big fan of the story mode, I mean, I don't even remember it well haha, I know that each character had relevance in the story, but I don't remember very well what the plot of this game was based on (I don't think it was a game with a very impacting story either).

Most of my favorite characters for some reason were quite dynamic, characters with quite a bit of mobility are my favorites as I feel like they can dodge attacks and get away from an enemy combo quite easily, I feel like the characters in Super Smash are balanced so that there are no characters that can really stand out compared to the rest, while some make up for their lack of mobility with combos that, if they hook you, can increase your % a lot and make it much easier to get you out of the arena, others have incredible mobility that even though they don't have such devastating combos, they allow you to hit a lot of hits and be able to dodge the rest. 

Although, there is always an exception to the rule, I mean, despite having a certain attraction for mobility champions, my favorite was Lucario, he was not one that stood out for his mobility, but he had a very precise way to deliver his attacks that made that when I wanted to play a game to win and I was going "all-in", Lucario was my preferred option.

# Quite fun ways to practice

In some games practice is completely necessary, this is usually when the games are competitive and we have to show our skill against other people (this is why I consider that the Super Smash story wasn't so important after all), this is why I spent a lot of time on the Smash practice tool. If I remember correctly, there were a few practice methods, but the one I remember best is the one where we had to hit something like a punching bag and unload on it the best combo we could hit someone with, this was pretty funny since it was a closed room so we couldn't take it out of the arena and watching it bounce all over the arena was completely insane.

> I honestly think that having a fun way to practice is pretty cool, being able to dedicate time to improve your skills in the game while playing solo is something that game creators don't pay much attention to lately and something quite forgotten, that's why games like Geometry Dash seem pretty cool to me.

### Building custom stages 

This was also crazy, I remember creating an incredible amount of maps with my cousins where we could fight endlessly without taking the characters out of the arena, well, there were times where because of some bugs the characters literally went through the walls of the map, and that made it much more fun XD

This is the best game ever. Period, I think all the games of the Smash Bros series are solid gold and I even think they should be in a museum, Nintendo unknowingly created the definitive fighting game with iconic characters, well balanced and above all a fighting system that could be customized depending on how you wanted to play (from this is that the current Smash tournaments were born).

This is a spectacular game on all platforms that came out, for my part I like more games on pc because I am more skilled with the controls but that's everyone's taste haha, I loved your post, by the fact of telling your personal experiences made me feel entertained to read, more like this please!

It only came out for Wii, Super Smash Bros Brawl has always been exclusive to Nintendo, lol.

I never played Brawl but I played all the earlier editions to death. I haven’t bought the new one for the Switch in fear of becoming consumed.
