<p><em><strong>Hey Steemians! In this episode,e we'll look at how you can check if your song is worthy to be released.</strong></em></p>
<p><em>I will always link some music in my posts that you should listen to while reading. It helps a lot to get the right vibe, and you will remember much (</em><em><strong>MUCH!</strong></em><em>) better.</em></p>

<p>In todays world it has become more important than ever to be able to judge whether your music will also be appreciated by other people. There are endless new tracks thousands of gigabytes per day that get uploaded on Soundcloud, YouTube etc... So if you are a musician than you probably won't get around this topic.</p>
<p><strong>1. Think about sending it to your musical heroes</strong></p>
<p>Assume you had the direct email address of your top 5 musical heroes. Would you send them your work to check it out? &nbsp;Is it ready for them to check it out, or will you caveat the email with “<em>well, it’s still in progress, so let me know where I can improve!</em>”? How quickly will you regret sending them this track over another that you like more?</p>

<strong>2. Give your track a bit time to rest</strong></p>
<p><em>You probably know this scenario:&nbsp;</em></p>
<p>Yesterday you created something new. You were super hyped..."<em>this track is the new Billboard #1</em>". Today after you've got some sleep you came back to your workspace and thought <em>"WHAT THE &amp;$§% who created shit like this"</em>.</p>
<p>So let the track rest. A week later I’ll go back and listen again, if it’s still good - it gets left longer. A month later, I’ll give it a listen. If I can still say after a month that I enjoy listening to it, and that it sounds great - then I’ll consider it release-worthy (at least in my eyes).</p>

<strong>3. Consult the internet</strong></p>
<p>Websites like Fluence or Audiokite can help you determine the viability of a track by getting feedback. Often it helps a lot to get feedback from completely neutral people. This sort of thing could get you some interesting results, since many people will feel there’s no relationship or friendship at stake, and to give you honest, perhaps even brutal feedback is no big deal.</p>
<p>Honesty from your listener/s in this area is crucial, but you will also get those who likely gloss over how much you have emotionally invested in your own success, and respond with what they think you want to hear. This is the downside.</p>
