this sounds interesting. a lot is happening on hive right now.

i find mind-boggling the lack of interest in something that was made possible yesterday. Is Patron type option that is free, decentralized, instant and with a possibility to do micro transactions so uninteresting? am i missing something? i have nothing to do with the project, i don't even know people that did it, but i really thought there will be more interest on hive. maybe i am missing something. i probably am.

Some of the biggest businesses in the world are ads platforms. FB only struck gold the day they decided to apply eBay’s model (pay for clicks without the users leaving the platform). That day FB became valuable in a way it could actually be measured and calculated.

The best investors have ideas about where the balls will be. Their teams are usually multiple years ahead of the masses (and quite often even of founders and C-level).

I love the mindset, soon we will see the snowball effect of what we are buidling together. The community is our marketing team that only grows day by day, very excited to see what the future can bring to every Hivers.

Yeah, I agree.

And ads on Hive will not be the same experience as ads elsewhere. There's transparency and accountability because it's on the blockchain, so reputation will play a major role in determining the quality of marketing approaches people take.

And direct monetization will mean a market unburdened by middlemen.

I'm also planning other creative monetization options like `paid AMAs`, `paid polls` and variants of subscription based attention offerings. I'll share more when the ideas are fully developed, but I'm aiming to have Native Ads bring content creators and thought leaders multiple ways to tap into the attention economies that their following creates.

I'm really excited about what's next!

I love creating all sorts of features and following up on ideas however i keep coming back to recognizing that the benefit is really in communities... and tokens for a community will make SOME communities excited i can see that.

Ads (aka promotions) on communities has been an option on PeakD.com for a while now and the system we use can be easily integrated into any other site and have easy interaction with our UI and others, we can even facilitate sending the tokens to those other UIs if the user wants to extend their promotion they're doing on PeakD over to other UIs. 

And allowing other tokens besides Hive is an option for those promotions.

I'm not actually fully up to date with what @iamwatsi created but would love to see more collaboration with features and apps.
