Initially, we assumed that for the big match between Seth Rollins and CM Punk to happen, Punk has to earn it. When he declared himself as entering the Royal Rumble happening on the 27th of January 2024, we knew where he is going to get the opportunity from.

At this point, The Rock, the people's champion, has also posed a challenge to the Head of the Table in last Monday Night Raw segment for who really is the head of the table. He also has to earn the opportunity regardless of the fact that he is a mega star and the fans' choice. Although it's not been made official, but I'm pretty sure he might have to enter the Royal Rumble Match too. If not, then the only opportunity left would be the next event leading to WrestleMania, The Elimination Chamber on the 24th of February 2024.

This year's Royal Rumble Match will involve 30 men. I initially thought it would be 40 since we were heading towards WrestleMania 40, but I get the point that it's not the number, but the superstars you bring on board. WWE always gives us some cool surprise returns during the Royal Rumble Match. I was thinking about wrestlers who might show up to spice things up.



My mind couldn't stop thinking about how cool it would be to see Dean Ambrose make a return. That would definitely shake the foundations of wrestling worldwide. However, upon pondering over Dean vs Roman, I concluded that it would be another huge match which would deserve a whole storyline on its own, separate from what's going on at the moment. So my guess is, no, he wouldn't show up before WrestleMania, but most likely after to challenge Roman for the title in a huge event.

We could see Brock make a return to display dominance in the Royal Rumble. And maybe, just maybe, Brock and CM Punk may have a Royal Rumble moment where the two of them just stand face to face. Wouldn't that be epic?

But hey, why have we all stopped talking about Cody Rhodes? Don't you think he must be in the WrestleMania 40 event? My guess is maybe Dean makes a return and starts some kind of storyline with Cody for a WrestleMania Cody vs Ambrose match. Or maybe I'm just being too ridiculous. Anyways, we just cannot have this year's WrestleMania without the American Nightmare Cody Rhodes, so there would definitely be a storyline created for him during the Royal Rumble Match.
